If you choose to write on them with pencil, it won't be very visible with this plastic so we recommend marker.

Does anyone know what the dimensions are? The description says "3.375"x7.875," but no way is one dimension almost eight inches. Thanks.

They are the size of a standard red/yellow card. However, I will tell you I've used these cards for years. Buy some fine-point Sharpies and a box or two of alcohol wipes. These are not for referees who manage the game with cards. Be fit, know the LOTG, and stay close to active play. They do not perform well in wet weather. For that, I carry a small scuba tablet and pencil set.

does existing markings provided by the vendor come off w/ alcohol?

No, just don’t be crazy with it and know that it won’t be %100 clean after wiping but works well. Make sure you buy a more concentrated isopropyl as the low grade stuff won’t wipe off very well
