Will this kit work on a 2004 lincoln town car, 4.6l? are the tensioners metal?

You want to make sure to follow the number or letter in your Vin number. The tensioners are plastic and metal. I used them in my 2003 F-150/4.6/letter W on Vin #.

I believe it will but make sure your vin # has a W on the 8 digit position. This means the engine is SOHC. Single overhead cam.

Fits 02 Lincoln towncar

This kit was perfect for our 2002 Lincoln Town Car there is one guide rail that you have to trim to fit a bolt behind the timing cover but other than that it was a breeze to install and is working great.

Check your camshaft gear. Tensioners are interchangeable.

I ordered this kit for my 07’ F150 as the description states it would work. I agree it works although if you have the left cam gear that has part #(7L3Z-6256-A) stamped on it everything but the left cam gear will work. Do not change it. It is a dealer only item. So far so good. I installed oem cam gear with new kit.
