The product is amazing my hair and skin are so soft. It has a slight scent but it's not bad just smells like shea butter. When its mixed with certain products it can be a little grainy but melts right into the skin upon application. I found whipping it first then add in oils and scents to lessen the grainy texture. Other than that this is a great product and I highly recommend it, in fact I already have and they all liked it as well.

I use this shea butter for soap but there are so many other beauty applications to use this in! Love this company! Great ethics and higher standards than most others when it comes to oils and butters. Definitely will buy again!

This is a good quality product. I have used other brands before however I like the quality of this brand, i use it to make soap and shampoo bars and it works great.

My usual supplier was out of their 7lb buckets of shea butter, so I decided to purchase on Amazon. I thought I selected refined shea butter, but mistakenly selected UN refined. I didn't notice until it arrived today. My first thought was to return it (all the unrefined shea butters I've bought in the past stunk to high heavens), but I decided to open it up and just see if it smelled as bad as the others. To my very pleasant surprise, it really doesn't smell bad at all! It does have a smell, but it's nutty and not the rancid icky smell the others I've bought on Amazon have. So this was quite a good mistake on my part! The butter is smooth and while it's not white like the refined stuff and does a little nutty smell, I think it's going to work just fine in my soaps!

This was a great product for my needs. Certainly not whipping shea butter right out of the container, but it's not meant to be. This is concentrate raw stuff, it's not the processed whipped product I think a lot expect, but it's not supposed to be. It's a raw product that you use to create other mixes and blends, and it's concentrate which is far better than something whipped so you in fact get a lot more. Also shea butter in its raw format doesn't smell super great, it doesn't smell bad, but it's sort of like plastic or even a little like tobacco leaves (not cigarettes or some gross other thing I don't mean that, just raw leaves), I know that sounds terrible but that's why often it has some lavender or vanilla added to it.

It arrived in 2 plastic bags to insulate the product and a bubble wrap on the outside so the container wouldn't crack, I suppose. It was well protected from this NY heatwave too! >108 on my car dash sensor< smells smooth, a little goes a long way, can't w8 until school's out so I can make lovely concoctions for my skin and hair! ^.^ It's unrefined so grainy but it can be melted then whipped ;) Glad I got it 20 bucks cheaper than this...

I really liked the smell and texture of the product. The product was not lumpy or hard. It was very easy to apply to my skin. I currently use the product in my hair care line. So far it has significantly improved the quality of my products. I will be ordering again!!!!!
