I have a very small dog a chihuahua. But if you have a big dog that will pull you I wouldn't really recommend for you has your hand will mess the black cushion handle up that you hold the leash for. I worry with my lil dog as when she sees kids at the park crying she wants to run and save the day she gets distracted by other animals too. I got it for a training leash so it works well for it's purpose and the main thing I love about this leash is it has reflecters so when it gets dark she is seen I got her the collar that reflects too as she's never without me or her dad but it's nice for when we're somewhere at night taking her out to use bathroom as people speed in places they shouldn't be speeding in. The reflection works very well I noticed it in the daytime a few times. Not a bad purchase but if you have a bigger dog I don't think it is strong enough nor will it last as long.
