NO this replaces cross 8521-2 try looking for 8910-sh. I called cross and found that the sheaffer refill will fit cross. the first set of numbers is what to look for example for my pen cross 8521-2 same as 8521-sh by sheaffer the are the same company. I hope this helps

Most manufacturers refills are brand specific. I’ve had plenty of Sheaffer pens, but never used their refills in Cross pens.

Yes, I ordered the 8523, and received the shaefer (sp) It fits in my cross pen and writes with the same consistency as the original fill. (I actually like it a little better than the Cross refill…)

I ordered this cartridge to replace my Cross pen's used one and it fit like a glove! I've noticed that the company that makes these refills probably makes a generic one for both Sheaffer and Cross because they're identical. The ink quality is good, but the cartridge doesn't last like the old ones. Given the fact that these types of refills that are just marketed for Cross pens are about twice as expensive, this "Schaeffer" one is the perfect alternative.
