The day I got my Apple Pencil, I just knew that losing the charging cover cap was going to happen. Sure enough, it went missing. Now, I was on a mission to buy a replacement---one that, I was certain, would eventually meet the same demise as the first. But LOW AND BEHOLD......... I found this product that solved BOTH of my problems. The cap was a perfect replacement; it has the magnetic snap together ability that the original cap had. But it came with the nifty silicon tether that holds the cap and keeps it attached to the pencil itself. As if being tethered to the pencil wasn't enough, the cap can be inserted into the silicon piece so completely that I get an even greater peace of mind that it won't just somehow come loose and disappear. And, if you want to live life dangerously, you don't have to use the silicon tether. Just go about your business and lose the replacement cap like you did the original one. (Seriously, I'm joking here. You best use the tether or you'll be looking for another cap!)

I left my Apple pencil on the kitchen counter and a few minutes later, I heard my cat knock something off the counter and start to bat it around. I went to investigate, but, sadly, my Apple pencil was nowhere to be found. When I finally located it after several minutes of searching, the cap was gone! We looked all over. We cleaned out the space under the refrigerator and stove. We looked under the sofa. Nope. Nada. At least we found a few missing cat toys. But I needed a new cap. This cap looks like the old cap and fits perfectly. Plus, with the silicone cap cover and tether, it should be a lot more challenging for my cat to hide it. I think the price was quite reasonable, as well. I should mention that the cap and silicone tether were packaged in a plastic zip bag and that the cap was furthermore protected with a plastic cover that was a little challenging to remove.

This is a perfect replacement for my OEM Apple Pencil cap. Within a few months of purchasing my Apple Pencil, I had lost a cap and I found this product on Amazon and first I skeptical, but it is a lifesaver. It’s fit my OEM Apple Pencil perfectly and the attachment is great even if my cap is off, I will never lose it.

When I tell you this thing has saved me from losing the little nub on the end of my apple pencil more times than I can count. I LOVE the goofy little piece of rubber that comes with it because I definitely lost the original end piece before I got this.
