**Q: Is there anything special about the pat marker? can any pen be used, or does it have to be a pat marker?**
A: It behaves like a dry-erase marker but is more like a fine-tip pen than the broad felt-tip that most dry erase markers have. I tried using a regular Quartet dry erase on these to see how it would erase - it erased just fine immediately after writing, but I didn't test one long-term.

**Q: Will this stick to a flat plaster wall? (Home just remodeled, white paint over it) Or should I better get a magnetic surface for the magnetic version?**
A: Nanocups will stick to any smooth and non-porous surface. Plaster is porous, so that won't work. Glass will work. Painted smooth wood will work. Smooth metal/plastic surface will work.
