It reveals access to the functions without having to take it out of the case. It also provides a stable base on a decent surface. The only negative is that I couldn't buy a case the same colour as my speaker. Mind you my speaker isn't a common colour. Review: Update: Jan 2025 Was mainly using the case for storage rather than transport. Well I had started transporting the speaker and used the handle. Pretty disappointed the handle has popped several stitches along one side. The speaker is a generous weight and the case seems made well enough for it, but the handle a little less so. If you're strictly using the case to keep dust off the speaker you might be fine?
