I love this journal!
I wanted to try bullet journaling this year, so I purchased this notebook. I love it! It includes 3 index pages, 2 pen test pages in the back, front and back cover pages, 200 dotted pages, and a pocket on the inside of the back cover. I’ve been using this now for 2 months- the cover is showing a little wear and tear but that’s to be expected- I expect this will be beat up by the end of the year! The pages are thick and do not bleed through for my micron pen, gel pens, acrylic markers, and midliner highlighters. Fine tip sharpie does bleed through a little. And alcohol markers bleed through, but I have not yet found any paper that my alcohol markers don’t bleed thru. I will probably buy this notebook again next year, because I haven’t seen any other notebook that can meet my journaling needs like this one does! And the price is so much better than many other journals out there!

This is a fantastic journal!
I know the first question a lot of people who bullet journal will ask is "are the pages bleed proof?". Lemme tell you...OMG, yes, uh-huh, oh yeah! When I tell you these pages are thick, I mean...they are T H I C C C C C! All kidding aside, the pages are visibly and texturally thick! They're also very beautifully crafted. The (5mm) dots are light, but easily visible and each page has tiny page numbers in each corner (which I prefer to bigger numbered pages). I've used gel pens, water based markers, alcohol based markers, acrylic pens and colored pencils in this journal and they all lay down on the paper very well. No bunching up of the paper and no tearing up of the paper so far as I've used this journal. This purchase of the brand was my first, but I can honestly say it won't be my last. Am looking forward to seeing more of their line of journals! Will definitely purchase again!

Obsessed - My Go-To Luxury Bullet Journal
I’ve purchased multiple journals from Vivid Scribbles, and at this point, I can confidently say they’re my forever journal brand. Every single one I’ve bought has exceeded my expectations. I use these journals for different areas of my life — the Green Flower as my Work/Esthetician journal, the Purple Moon for wellness reflection, the Black Star for future business planning, and now the Purple Celestial for Bible study. Each one feels special, intentional, and luxurious in its own way. What I LOVE: - The dotted layout gives me complete creative freedom with no limits on space. - The thick, premium paper is wonderful. None of my pens, markers, or highlighters bleed through. - They’re 100% vegan, forest-friendly, and the pages are truly ghost-free and bleed-proof. - The Index feature makes it easy to track important pages. - The covers are solid, stunning, and durable , and they feel expensive. - The pen-test pages in the back are a thoughtful touch I use every time. A few small things to improve: - The stickers are okay, but the designs aren’t my favorite. I wish they came with a clear background instead of white so they’d blend in better. - The back folder is a bit tight — I usually have to fold papers slightly, which defeats the purpose. - I’d love to see more cover designs in the future, especially ones inspired by the beauty industry (a simple lipstick, abstract woman’s face, etc.). Despite those minor things, these journals are genuinely the best I’ve ever used. The quality, feel, and overall experience make them completely worth it. If you’re a journal lover, creative, or someone who just wants a premium writing experience, Vivid Scribbles is unmatched.

Great first bullet journal
Love this journal!! This is my first bullet journal ever. I knew I wanted thick pages because I wanted to do some watercolor, scrapbooking, and heavy inks for my journal. It’s definitely held up! I’m pretty impressed. The only ghosting I’ve experienced is with a thick black sharpie (see picture). Watercolors, acrylic paint, pens, markers, etc don’t bleed through AT ALL. There’s an index in the front, numbered pages, test pages in the back, and a pocket on the back cover. There are TWO downsides though: the cover stays open slightly (see picture) and some of the pages are printed slightly off from the one adjacent to it (this looks slightly wonky if you’re doing a straight line across both pages, but only noticeable to yourself). Overall I like this journal a lot. I will likely buy another when I go through this one

It Outshines All the Others!!!!!
I have my Celestial Journal in a leather cover from Sojourner. By only tucking the back in it allows me to enjoy the beautiful cover. I did have to cut the elastic band off but I left the pen holder on. I researched quite a few journals and even paid a vast sum of money for a well-known brand with Tomoe River paper. The ghosting was bad in that one, even with nothing but a fine-point pen. I wanted to use the Tombow watercolor brush pens and my fountain pens without any ghosting. The quality of this paper is amazing and there is no ghosting. If I get carried away with my watercolor pens and use water for blending, the pages can warp some but not enough that I consider it important, plus I feel like it gives the book a well-used, authentic look and feel. Also, most journals I have found with this high of a gsm don't have page numbers so that is a big plus. This one is unique also with having 3 ribbons that are actually long enough, which is a huge plus. The high quality of the cover and everything about this journal has impressed me. I have not had any binding issues but you need to remember what to do anytime you get a new book. Hold the book on its spine and fold down the cover on each side, running your hand along the spine to flatten the covers open. Then, taking a small section of pages on both sides, lay those down flat and run your hands along the binding, working your way until you reach the center of the book and it's open flat. That prepares the spine to fold open a little at a time so it doesn't break. I cannot recommend this journal enough and it outshines the higher priced ones by far. When I'm ready to get another one I'm not even bothering to shop around, I'm coming straight for another one of these. 🙂

Great hardback fairly heavy duty journal
The positive - micron pens sizes 005-08 don’t show through - index and page numbers - thick paper The negative - the strap broke very quickly The not quite good but not a dealbreaker - watercolor can make the pages a little wrinkly, it’s not too bad but definitely not designed for it so go easy - some of the darker highlighters will show through or if you do more than just a light amount of highlighter. For reference the highlighters I use are “bible highlighters” from Amazon and supposedly meant for thin paper but definitely aren’t the highest quality - it does not lay flat when writing in it so it can be a little tricky but because it has a hard cover it’s easy to prop the side on something to make it not at an angle I like the size which is bigger than a pocket book but smaller than a full sheet of paper. Small journals I find hard to write in and big journals are cumbersome. So far the spine is holding up with adding washi tape and stickers, I bullet journal and kind of scrapbook so we’ll see how it does as I continue to add to it. Overall I’m really happy with it and even though it’s not perfect it’s the closest to perfect I’ve found so far (and I’ve been through an embarrassing number of journals).

This is literally my 92nd journal, and it's also my favorite
I journal A LOT, and I have tried a lot of different brands. I also love to be creative in my journal by using markers and paint and pens with juicy ink. Many of my journals have not held up well to that sort of love, but this one does a fantastic job. I love the beautiful, thick pages, and they're great for the paintings I like to do with my nature journaling (I use watercolor and the paper does warp a bit, but that doesn't bother me. And I do have to be careful not to put toooooo much water down, but it handles the water surprisingly well for not being watercolor paper. I haven't tried gouache, but I suspect it would do just fine.) The pens I use don't bleed or ghost through at all, and when I tested a sharpie just out of curiosity, it only created a tiny bit of ghosting. I also love the cover design, and having three bookmarks is so handy. I use one to mark the beginning of each month, one to mark my weekly schedule, and one to keep track of where I am on a daily basis. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that it has numbered, non-perforated pages. My one complaint is that I need another page or two in the lined index at the front. Otherwise, this journal is perfect. It comes in a beautiful box that would make it perfect for gifting, or save the box for storing stickers and other journaling supplies. Get this journal. You won't regret it.

Will purchase again
I've purchased two of these for myself and one for my daughter. It's well made and it's nice to have the pen holder attached. Pages are thicker and there is no bleed with regular pens. Sharpie type markers DO BLEED through so keep that in mind. It has a nice pocked for loose papers to keep in the back. It is a sturdy notebook. Great for bullet journaling or note taking. The stickers are a nice touch.

Hermosa
