The reason why I went with this one is because they came with two. It also came with a silver insulated flat. I’m sure that is not what it is called but what I like a pout that is it will keep the heat of the pad in as you lay it on top of this insulated. I will be ordering another set of these again because I need more. I don’t mind that there is no thermometer to check as right now I am so new to gardening. These sprouted my seeds and I am so happy. Even though in the second photo it looks like not much was sprouting it isn’t because of the pad it is because of the old seeds I was using.

Read the wattage and understand what this means. Comes with a very nice insulation pad to reflect as much heat as possible.

Obviously, I just got it so I just started using it. I had planted tomato seeds on 2/10 and nothing had germinated by 2/13 when it was delivered. I set it up immediately and by the next day I had germination in 4 out of 8 cells and today, 2/16 all 8 cells are sprouting!!! This is my first time using a heat mat and I think I am going to be very pleased with the results. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because it's only been a few days, but I am hoping to be very happy for years to come.

I tossed some earlier seed pots since the seeds rotted rather than germinated. Living in Vermont, growing plants from seed is very tricky if you don't have a cold frame. I decided to try these mats - I am very pleased and I will buy again. I do wish I could control the temperature and which means I have no way to measure accuracy. However, these are a great value and well made. Also, having a kitchen windowsill, I am able to utilize both mats. Great product for the novice gardener, like myself.

I think it is a basic heating mat, the same design as most, but what helps it stand apart is the included reflective insulation mat. That is a really nice addition! I still put a layer of insulation underneath it, but I think you could manage just with the included thin mat.

These mats work like they're supposed to, just plug in, but you need to buy the temperature control, that's additional. 105 F is what my digital readout was on these mats. Cloth buffers between the mats and seed trays didn't help.

These we're supposed to give you temperatures 10 to 20° above the air temperature but they were running 30 to 40° above and our plants were way too hot!

Great price works great no up or down on temperature but they are are great for my purposes
