Service worth 5 starts
Pulling this handbrake out of the box, I was very pleased from the start. The quality of it is really good, it's got a great feel to it. The actual handle has a piece of foam wrapped around it, for more money I'd expect something a little better, but the solution they use is comfortable and great for the price. When I first plugged it in - there was an issue where the handbrake was delayed about 1 second. Tested in Dirt Rally 2.0 and iRacing, then verified in DiView calibration software. I logged into my Amazon to message the seller, but I already had a message waiting for me! The seller reached out preemptively to let me know that a few handbrakes went out with the wrong chip, mine included. After supplying my address, I had a replacement part at my door within 1-2 days - outstanding! One allen key and a supplied zip-tie later and I was back in business. It now works without delay. There is a small amount of noise in the movement but I don't hear it when I play so it doesn't bother me one bit. For the price, this is amazing. For the amount I use the handbrake, I did not want to spend money on a fancy brand, and I'm very, very happy I got this for my rig. Would recommend to anyone who needs to upgrade their sim.

Solid Budget Starter Handbrake That Gets the Job Done
Picked this handbrake up expecting it to be whatever, but it’s actually solid. The pull feels decent with a bit of progression, and the metal build is nice. Only real gripe is the sensitivity being a little weird in some games, so you might have to mess with settings. and the clamp on mine was sharp and had a Nic on it, enough to splinter off and cut me (its painted metal), But it plugged in and worked right away, no software or anything. For budget gear, it does the job and holds up better than I thought it would.

Not perfect but dang am I happy with this thing
You plug this thing in and it's called Arduino Leonardo or something like that. That means that this is made by someone who just wants to build stuff. That's exactly what you're getting and I think it's fantastic. The only instructions it comes with is to prove that it really is working. This is because it isn't compatible with all games. For me, it works in Dirt Rally 2 and Project Cars 2. It does not work in Wreckfest. Luckily some other Amazon customers left videos showing how they mounted theirs because I couldn't figure it out. I saw some old reviews that the USB was getting knocked loose; well it's glued and zip tied on now. I have to admit that one of the bolt came off and I had to go out to get metric hex keys to put it back on. It's holding tight now. There's also a weird latch that jingles around as you use it. I have no idea what it's for and I'll probably never know. I have to say that I'm really happy with this purchase. Totally worth the price.

Test before you set up
Unfortunately I have to give it a 3 stars for now. My computer detected the USB, the underglow was on. (Which i did not know was a feature.) But it just did not work at all in use. But I absolutely love the quality, size, adjustable aspect of this Ebrake. So im returning it, and getting a new one, hoping its just a defect. I just recommend testing it before you bolt it down on your racing rig. (Which is not hard)

Solid, Responsive Handbrake for Sim Racing!
This USB handbrake is a game-changer for my sim racing setup! Super responsive, easy to install, and built like a tank. Perfect for drifting and rally games. Great value for the price — highly recommend for any serious sim racer!

Do NOT purchase this item!!!!!!
This item worked exactly once before becoming completely defective. Windows calibration test (game controller settings) shows that this device toggles between 0 and 25% axis input with zero alternative despite hours of troubleshooting as an IT professional. My intention was to use this device as a helicopter collective controller for my flight sim software, for which it worked exactly one time before completely ceasing in functionality. Save yourself the headache and do NOT purchase this item, it's just not worth the stress.

Surprisingly good
Made from some thick iron, looks and feels sturdy. You can move the handle to point out instead of pointing up if you are handy with tools. Very simple design. Has an annoying light inside of it that can only be toggled by plugging it and unplugging. Comes with a way to clamp it on the side of a desk. there are also mounting holes all over it if you need a custom setup

Build-wise I really like this e-brake. It's solid and you can shorten the throw or length of the shaft easily. Sensor-wise, the readings I got weren't adequate for the job. Maybe the magnetic field is too short for the hall effect sensor on the board (magnet possibly oriented the wrong way?) but it effectively made the brake all-or-nothing, when I need a bit more sensitivity than that. So two stars off for the sensor, but if you get one where it's not an issue it should be a great brake.

Worked for most games but requires alot of tedious setup and troubleshooting to make it work for Forza horizon 4. Which is not mentioned before purchase, also you are giving no trouble shooting help by the seller. Overall product worked in the end and has good build quality
