It does not mark the wall. I brought it to my physical therapy session and my therapist liked the product as well, and wrote down the name of the product. What else? Initially the product hurt some, so I eased up on the pressure. As my back loosened up, the roller with increased pressure did not hurt. I think this, as well as my back feeling better, is a sign that the product, in conjunction with my other exercises has been helpful.

I have use several gadgets and items for stress/pain in between my shoulder blades and base of neck area. This is by far the best and easy to use product. By using it 5/10 minutes three times a day, my pain has dissapeared. I've tried flat on the floor and against a wall, with good results, it will take you a few tries to figure out the best and most beneficial position for you. A bit pricey but worth the money, it'll basically last you for the rest of your life. I got the XL size. I'm 180 lbs; 5:10
