I usually turn down the heat if i am needing it on but not wanting it to drip. You could plug it into a power strip that has an on/off switch, though you would have to wait for it to heat up each time **Q: Can you buy the nozzles seperatley?** A: You can buy a set of 18 nozzles that fit.
