I was doing this for the first time as a DIY and the results turned out better than I had expected. There are some concerns when using it such as the hole guide being wobbly if you are using the guide extended. I extended the guide to 2-3/4" backset and there really is no locking mechanism (at least that I could see via instructions), so preferably pre-drill the center point before going straight in to avoid misplacement. The hole saws worked well but I do see them not lasting if you are doing a lot of doors. As some have mentioned also, make sure you double check and measure that its centered because it doesn't exactly fit flush, and sometimes has gaps on both sides. I won't fault the product though because it got the job done.

I bought this for a deadbolt installation. Has everything you need to do it right. You still need to be able to drill straight but ifyou take your time I think the results will be fine. Could I have done w/o the guide? Sure, but why? For a few bucks you get everything you need to do it right. The bits are fairly cheap but I'm sure would last for a few doors. Would I buy it again? Absolutely.
