Rs' Science All-in-One Microscope Slide Preparation Kit, 40 Pieces

Love it so far! These are a couple I did last night. I was able to take a pic with my phone. Just turn the microscope light off but have the room light on and it works great! I used the tweezers and vials to collect my dog hair specimens. (Even though I could have just yanked a couple hairs!) But it’s more fun to play scientist. It’s a great starter kit and the pamphlet that’s included is very informative and interesting. The dissecting needle is handy. It’s just great! The dyes work very well.

I am very pleased with the microscope slide preparation kit. All of the items listed in the product description were present, and of good and durable quality. I bought the kit on the recommendation of another Amazon review when I bought my elementary-aged daughter a microscope, and I am very glad I did. I recently used the microscope in my own elementary classroom, and had my preschool students prepare and observe their own slides. The methylene blue solution, in particular, helped us create very clear slides of pond water samples. There was also a cute sticker included, along with a contact card in case there were any defective items. I would (and likely will) repurchase this item in the future.

Although some parts, like the pipettes, are a bit flimsy, the rest were of surprisingly good quality. If you just bought a microscope and are tying to learn how to use it, this tool set is a good buy.

I bought this to gift with a microscope for my daughter for Christmas. The slide preparation kit is awesome. I love that it comes with a little booklet that explains the supplies as well as has instructions and ideas for microscope experiments. Today we viewed drops of creek and puddle water on a slide we prepared ourselves. I totally recommend this kit.

I bought this kit to prepare slides for a college-surplus microscope I have at home. I am a biochemist/virologist who used such equipment in research for decades, but now in retirement I just want to have fun looking at little things. The kit is simple to use and it is easy to make temporary slides of all kinds of samples. The included depression slide is good for looking in water samples for swimming microorganisms. There are even a few prepared slides with plant and insect sections. The only slightly negative feature is that the cover slips in the kit are plastic, which is good for safety, but they permanently pick up the stains. You may want to buy a box of additional slides and cover slips if you are going to do any serious microscopy.

Good kit for beginners and intermediates alike. All items were included, even if they looked a little different than the pictures (instead of two travel slide containers, only one) I only wish there were more fresh slides included in the kit, but that was my fault for not reading. Good supplies, wouldn’t recommend for professionals though Super happy with the amount of lens wipes!

It is a nice little kit unfortunately I was missing a couple of the items if not for that I would have given 5 stars.

The kit is well thought out and every piece seems good quality. The booklet they include with it is very helpful for a novice microscope user like me. Lots of instructions, pictures, and diagrams. I even emailed the company because I couldn’t find the cover slips. They responded within an hour saying they would fix the problem but then I found them and let them know.
