Works well, sharpens my KAI knives!
Works as promised, sharpens my KAI knives like a charm. Easy to use, just slide the knife on the slots. Slot 1 is the diamond sharpener for dull blades, slot 2 is the ceramic to correct the angle and slot 3 is to smoothen, finish the edge. Use the sharpener without water, since it is a dry method sharpening. Directions are in Japanese, but just used Google translate to get it in English. Highly recommended!👍

superb sharpener for the seki magoroku dual edge knives
after 4 mo of use, my Kai wakatake ko-santoku needed to be honed or sharpened, and I was about to buy a whetstone setup and heard about this quick solution. i used it per instructions using google translate on the japanese, as well the amazon review instructions, and its now factory sharp, but I tried honing it only, not sharpening. when the knife was brand new, it would cut a ripe tomato without any slicing motion, simply pushing the knife onto the tomato would cut it, it now does that easily once again, see the video. compared to a generic ceramic knife that wouldn't cut without a sawing action. note the 2, 3 slots on the sharpener are coarse and fine honing stones, while #1 is a sharpening stone, and so far, my knife only needed honing, so not needing sharpening will easily prolong the life of the knife. every seki magoroku owner should own this sharpener, its needed eventually and I was dreading having to become a knife hobbyists and learning how to use multiple whetstones to get the legendary japanese knife sharpness, and kai has made it easy for those of us who just want a sharp knife, not becoming a blade expert. the design is easy to grip, speedy to use, of very high build quality despite its plastic body, and solidly made. would not hesitate to buy it again as some reviews say the stone wear out with use.

Very Easy How to Use This
It’s so easy to use, but the result is very phenomenal. This makes sharpening kitchen knives much more fun. I will sharpen my kitchen knives more often for sure.

Good sharpener with a flaw
Works great, but one design flaw. The sharpener slides in and out of the clear section. When extended, the black section moves around fore and aft inside the clear section. This sometimes will cause the knife being sharpened to be pulled back in an angle relative to the sharpening elements. Three sharpening elements do work well, and correct angle for my Shun knives.

Easily the best touch-up sharpener that I've ever owned. Use the wet stones much less with this around! Great product!

Convenient Sharpener, Mild Results
I bought a 3-stage knife sharpener—super easy to use and very convenient. That said, I didn’t notice a big improvement in sharpness. It feels more like it’s good for maintenance rather than making dull knives really sharp.

This is a very easy pull through sharpener for Japanese knives. Got these to touch up my Shun knives between proper sharpenings. Pull 10 times through 1, 10 times through 2, and 5 times through 3 ... then give the blade a quick wash to rinse off any metal. Quick and easy. Size fits nicely in the drawer, and price can't really be beat.

Irgendwann wird auch das beste Messer stumpf. Da die Kai Shun Messer aber schon ihren stolzen Preis haben hatte ich Angst es selbst zu schärfen. Allerdings vergeht einem bei einem stumpfen Messer die Freude am schneiden. Also dachte ich mir: dieser Schleifer ist von Kai selbst und hat den Winkel der für die Kai Serie geeignet ist. Im Fachladen wurde ebenfalls dieser Schleifer für mein Messer empfohlen. Im Zweifel dachte ich, könnte ich es immernoch beim Profi korrigieren lassen. Ich bin so happy, dass ich mich getraut habe. Bin genau nach Anweisung vorgegangen und das Messer schneidet wie zuvor! Kein Kratzer am Messer und ab heute wird mein Messer immer scharf sein! Das Preis - Leistungsverhältnis definitiv wert. Wer ein Messer für 200€ hat kann auch für 25€ einen Schleifer kaufen. Als Tipp: achtet auf den Winkel eurer Messer. Nicht alle Messer haben den selben und die Schleifer schleifen mit Winkel. Idiotensicher wenn man den richtigen hat. Dieser hier ist ideal für die Kai Shun Tim Mälzer Serie.
