Yes, they can be used just like any other headphone set.. I bought these for use with a cheap in ear monitor set.. I bought cheap transmitter/receiver and put all the money in these in ears.. because that's where you need the quality.. and they are superior.. comfortable and firm.. and they sound very good as well/don't keep falling out etc.

Confused.. mentions ie pro bluetooth connector. do i need to get extra to make it wireless? it is for mac & iphone. difference with pro ie wireless?

If you buy the IE 100 PRO Wireless, then you can use as WIRED OR WIRELESS (BT). The Earphones are simply plugged INTO EITHER the supplied WIRED lead OR plugged into the BT Neck device. In other words, you have the CHOICE of using these 'IE 100 PRO Wireless' EITHER as WIRED or BT - you effectively get 4 bits of kit: 2 x Earphones, 1 x Wired 3.5mm audio lead (NO MIC), 1 x BT neck - so you either plug the earphones into the WIRE lead OR the BT neck adapter. The BT will work with any device that supports BT, and the audio lead is standard 3.5mm jack plug. HTH

Is this good for use of day to day music listening ? I am looking for a reasonable pair of earphones for just that purpose.

Absolutely good enough for music to listening... I use these everyday single work day for online numerous meetings and when not in a meeting I will often listen to music.
