Physicians Formula Butter Buddies Butter Scotch Matte Setting Powder Translucent Matte This is a very lightweight finishing powder that does a great job of protecting your foundation. It does a good job on my super dry skin and doesn't it make it dry out any further in warm weather. This does NOT work for me when it is cold out since the moisture in my skin is really reduced. I put this on right after applying my foundation and used a fluffy kabuki brush. It comes in a plain plastic container that is very slim and compact so it can be slipped into a purse easily. This does have a bit of flashback so if you are taking pictures, I would use something else. The Matte setting powder goes on medium weight, mostly translucent, though my skin does look slightly whiter, and stays matte throughout the day. It smells strongly like shea butter. The powder is smooth and fine, though you definitely want to make sure your face is well moisturized. On my face with moisturizer on, it was fine, but when I tested on my dried hand initially, it looked cakey, as most powders do on dried skin. I use a large powder brush with this, and brush does not come with the compact. I like that as most brush included in such compact doesn’t even get used and is such a waste. Overall, a cute easy going compact for matte setting or touch up. Made in Mexico.

Butter Scotch is my favorite of the bunch! I have very oily skin and this powder leaves my skin looking naturally matte. It also works great for toning down shiny moisturizers. There is a slight white cast though, so best for lighter skin tones. Very finely-milled smooth powder formula. It does have the classic butter bronzer scent (suntan oil smell). This powder keeps my oils at bay for most of the day and touch ups are easy.

This compact contains 0.38oz of matte finishing powder. I applied this after using the Physician's Formula Butter foundation with a fluffy brush and it left my face looking smooth and matte but not overly dry like some other mattifying powders. I will probably use a sponge the next time since the fluffy brush created a lot of excess loose powder in the compact. This powder did a great job with keeping my forehead shine free. My nose had some oil developing by the end of the day but I was also blowing it here and there and wearing a mask so some product surely rubbed off during the process. This powder is lightweight and can be easily thrown in your purse to touch up throughout the day as needed!

This setting powder works great, and is easy to use. It also smells so nice, like coconuts and creme. Or something like cocoa butter. I love it. Works well and the case is so cute!

This smells like butter Scotch candy. It's soft enough that it applies easily. It's white and goes on like a white mineral veil with a very fine coverage that is mostly mattifying. It does tone down redness a bit but it doesn't add much color at all. This can be used as a setting powder, but I like to use it over bare skin when I just want to control shine. I'm giving you the four because I don't particularly like the case. It's okay for an inexpensive cosmetic and it has cute graphics but there's no mirror and no applicator. It's round so it doesn't fit squarely in my makeup box-since it doesn't have a mirror or applicator, it would be nice if it were square. I wouldn't keep this in my purse because the only powders that I'll keep in my purse would have a mirror and applicator.
