Ok, this will be a quick and simple review, since this is a simple product, its an adapter cord, it either works, or it don't, and it does. I do some story editing and occasionally writing on a 10in Galaxy2 tablet. I have used bluetooth keyboards, but they're either expensive or tiny, so no happiness there. Imagine my surprise while shopping for something else for the tablet and finding this. Considering the proprietary nature of the Samsung plug, I'd never even considered looking for an OTG connector for the tablet, especially as its an older model with an older style connector, so this was a pleasant surprise. And the price, I'd've expected to pay a lot more due to the proprietary nature, but nope, $4 for this. Although its an add on item, it was sent separate in an envelope, not spectacular packaging, but quite adequate. I plugged it, plugged a keyboard in, and it worked fine. Well as fine as keyboards work with Android, there were certainly no issues like dead keys, slow response, spotty response or anything like that, the keyboard worded as well as it did when plugged into my computer. In the future I'll likely update this review when I get to playing more, after all, I haven't tried plugging in mice, trackballs, memory sticks or anything but a keyboard, but I don't see any problems.

I used this to connect my tablet to a usb to TTL ch340 module. Everything connected well, and I haven't had issues with the connector coming loose from the tablet. It works well enough for me.

I purchased this item to go with my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 and it works great! I plugged it in, then plugged my USB drive in and voila, there were all of my saved files and photos. Since my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 did not come with a tongle like this, I would not have been able to utilize everything on my USB drive without it. This little item allowed me to view all of my documents and photos on my USB drive. Thanks!

Review of the StarTech USB OTG Cable Adapter: This item works very well. I ordered 2 of them for my kids Samsugn tablets. We have a few flash drives loaded with digital movies and they were able to play them on their tablets with ease. Pros -Well made, does not feel cheap -Instant plug and play with the device -Does not drain battery power like other models -Small and easy to take anywhere Cons -Does not work with all flash drives and does not work with an external hard drive

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, so thought this would be compatible, as the website says this adapter is appropriate for Galaxy Tabs. In fact, it's absolutely NOT compatible -- the "male" end of the adapter (which attaches to the tablet) is way too big. Am disappointed and sending it back...wish Startech had done its homework and been accurate on which tablets were compatible with their adapters.

At first i thought that the quality should be bad, but what else could I expect for a cable that cheap, well as long as it woks... however, it was a nice surprise that the quality was very good, I plugged the cable and it worked smoothly as expected, five stars since this is a very good product and cheap.

I bought this and it doesn't work for me. I plug in my Nikon camera and a notification saying USB Connected pops up but that's it. I can't view any of my photos. Can anyone help?

Bought this for my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 and it works perfectly for what I wanted: Female USB on one end, samsung plug on the other, insert thumb drive and transfer files to and fro. Works perfectly.

I am using this cable to attach a small USB keyboard to my Galaxy 7. Although the on-screen keyboard is pretty good, I am old school and prefer a real keyboard for e-mail. I guess that USB sticks, disk drives and other devices could be hooked up to the tablet with this cable, I have to admit that I purchased it to interface a keyboard and haven't tried anything else. I will update this review if I get around to trying other devices. I definitely recommend this product.
