Crock-Pot 7-Quart Slow Cooker, Portable Programmable with Timer, Locking Lid, Stainless Steel; an Essential Kitchen Appliance, Perfect for Families and Gatherings

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my mother last year. Asked her what her thoughts were and here they are: “locking lid is great especially if you’re bringing food to events or get together, the program options are awesome because I can schedule the meal and my old crockpot didn’t have that, also like that I can throw it is the dishwasher for a quick and easy clean up, the size is perfect for when it’s just me and my husband but also when everyone gets together for family time and there are 9 of us. I cook most of my dinners in here because of the ease of use but also because of all the options like selecting the pounds of meat I have not is on the heavier side but it’s not super bulky. It looks nice on my counter and all the church ladies ask me where I got it because of all the options but how easy it is as well!”

Excellent product with quick shipping. I ordered from another company and received a broken lid and crock shipped in manufacturer's original box with many holes in the box. Company said it was sending a replacement, but it had not shipped even before the last night of expected delivery. Being in a panic because it was to be a bridal shower gift a few days later, I placed this Amazon order late on a Monday night and the properly packaged item arrived Wednesday morning early. Very pleased with product and shipper. The bride to be was very happy with her new Crockpot. It is exactly the size she wanted and has the many features she wanted. Food is flavorful, tender, and ready whenever you set it for. Very pleased with this product although it is a bit heavy for elderly people to carry. It works well and cooks great.

This is the best crockpot I’ve ever owned. The locks are the best part when transferring it in the car. No spills!

I LOVE MY NEW 7QT CROCKPOT!!!! Not only is it a good looking appliance, it is very comprehensive and easy to use. The digital design allows me to program and set my cooking time and heat levels - with various settings and options that my basic old school 6Qt did not. Of course, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the clip down lid, which makes transporting food for potlucks spill-free! Chef's kisses!!!

I had a similar size Faberware brand Programable cooker and it cooked great and loved the programable feature. After years it was on its last leg and I looked to replace it. This Crock-Pot 7 looked like it might be even a better cooker...but Like others have reported, the same "clicking" noise is happing with the Crock-Pot cooker that I ordered. Because some suggested, I have tried to fight through it and see if it goes away after using it a few times. But the issue with that is, I haven't been able to get through an entire cook with the Crock-Pot because it doesn't seem to heat properly. It gets ridiculously hot on the outside of the unit to the point where it will burn you if you touch it, but on the inside, it doesn't heat enough to cook properly. This is a lemon if I have ever seen one! Amazon should stop selling this product until Crock-Pot resolves this issue, and take an active part in resolving all these complaints. It is beyond frustrating when buying a product thru Amazon that is less than <$100, and you get it and it is defective. Then it is the hassle of re-boxing, getting return labels, driving it to a drop off or UPS store etc....and then wait for the shipping plus 7-10 days for your card to get credited back. It is frankly not worth some peoples time or frustration. If Crock-Pot wants to make it right with their customers....they should just look at all these 1-star complaints for the same issue, and automatically send you a replacement that works correctly. I doubt that will happen, so I'll just give it a 1-star review, and never buy another Crock-Pot branded product again. It's not worth my time and hassle. I'll just swing by Wal-Mart later this week, they got half a dozen brands sitting on the shelf. I'll grab another brand there. And if I have an issue with it, I can just walk it back in to Wal-Mart and return it and grab another one.

Nice crock pot, works great and the programming is great and simple to use. The locking lid — works great when locked. However, when not using to lock down, the metal hooks that lock it down should clip into the handle when not in use. As it is, they tend to fall loose and get in the way after your stir or lift off to add ingredients to the pot. There’s a space for them to go when not in use, but they do not click into place and fall out easily and get into the way.

I really like the crockpot, but the handle on the lid broke.. Would you please send a new lid..
