Review: Great product - Works great good normal valve extender
Review: Easy to install, works like a charm - This is a terrific product. My wheels have deep rims, and the tube for my front wheel only comes with a 40mm valve stem, which makes it difficult to get a good seal with the pump. I bought the 20mm valve extender and installed it with no problem in about 10 minutes. As suggested in several Youtube videos, I used a little bit of Teflon plumber's tape on the threads to ensure a good seal. Now, the pump engages with no problem, and the valve does NOT leak at all. I should have done this a long time ago.

This is a terrific product. My wheels have deep rims, and the tube for my front wheel only comes with a 40mm valve stem, which makes it difficult to get a good seal with the pump. I bought the 20mm valve extender and installed it with no problem in about 10 minutes. As suggested in several Youtube videos, I used a little bit of Teflon plumber's tape on the threads to ensure a good seal. Now, the pump engages with no problem, and the valve does NOT leak at all. I got frustrated too with these valve extensions not allowing much air in or out if any at all after installing them in the tube. I then performed the trick that a reviewer called Dan Martin mentioned in here by removing the original valve stem core that came with the tube and putting in a different core which also worked for me so, you'll have to buy an aftermarket different core brand which Amazon sells plenty of and problem solved. Funny though the original and aftermarket valve cores look identical but only the aftermarket will work and fix the problem. Also, if it leaks a little of air at the bottom of the extension just add a bit of Teflon tape on the threads to fix the leak as suggested by others. I have to say this guy is very smart and intuitive and his great idea helped many of us. Thank you Dan!
