Is there a way to make the skulls come out clearer when using water like the advertised picture?

The ONLY way to get clear ice cubes is by differential freezing. Otherwise, the 'cube' freezes first around its entire perimeter - then freezes inward toward the center. There is no place for the trapped air and impurities to go so it stays in the ice. Boiling water, distilled water, whatever - none of that will work. If you want clear ice, you must freeze it using differential freezing (google it) - from the top down - which allows all of the air and impurities to be pushed down and out of the ice mold.

Hello, Thanks for your question! I think so! I mean, I haven't tried it with concrete myself yet but I do not see any reason not working with concrete. You might want to cut the holes on the upper tray a little bit bigger so that you can inject the concrete through the holes. Are they really melting slower than conventional ice cubes?

Dear Customer, Yes it is melting slower than the conventional ice cubes. The size of the skull ice cubes is the key! They are bigger than the conventional ice cubes so they melt slowly. Once I counted how many minutes a half glass of water with a single skull ice cube takes to melt down completely and it took over 30 minutes. These ice cubes will keep your drink cool for a long time but not affecting the taste much.
