AC Infinity, AIRPLATE S2 Home Theater and AV Cabinet Fan 6"

This fan is quality all the way to Sunday! I can't say enough about how pleased I am with it! I bought this to help cool the boys PS4 that's in an entertainment cabinet I built. It replaces the floor fan they stuck in front of the PS4 to cool it for the past couple years. As a DIYer I was going to cobble together some kind of cabinet fan until I saw this one for $30. I couldn't put a decent cooling system together for 30 bucks! I was a bit skeptical with the low price until I got it. Wow. It's packaged like it's a Faberge Egg. Best packing I've seen this side of an iPhone. The fan construction looks great. It's plastic (I bought the rectangular version) but the bezel is a very convincing faux brushed aluminum finish. It comes with more hardware than you need. With matching wood or machine screws. It has a fantastic clear plastic template for doing the cutout (I used a miniature saw blade on a Dremel to cut it out). And the instructions were well laid out in perfect English. It's powered by a USB port, which means it comes on with the PS4. But it also has a wall wart to power it as well. The USB cord comes with an OFF/low/med/high speed switch that is conveniently placed on the cord so you can tuck it away. Above all, being a media cabinet fan and all, it is whisper quiet! Even at the highest setting it is acceptable except for maybe the quietest parts of a movie. But even at the lowest setting, where I have it now, it moves plenty of hot air out. I'd give it 6 stars if I could.

Installed two of these in the overhead cabinet for two 75 gallon aquariums to keep the humidity down. Packaging is top notch, fans arrived in excellent condition. The faceplate is very high quality anodized metal and looks very high end when installed. Fan comes with hardware to mount in wood or other surfaces and is of high quality. Fan comes with a clear gasket that can be used as a template for cutting the mounting hole. Installation was typical with no issues beyond normal placement, marking, cutting and installing. Fan runs quietly on lowest speed and moves substantial air on fastest speed but makes more noise. It has a through USB cord and comes with a wall power supply. If you are looking for a more high end look this is a great fan.

The fan is exactly as described and pictured. It is quiet although not silent (when it is on its fastest speed, it's about as noisy as a computer). I have a single receiver in a standard furniture cabinet. I think I may need a second fan or at least a "vent". So far, it appears that this fan keeps the cabinet at the same temperature with the door closed as it had stayed with the door open. I am very happy with the fan, it looks great and was easy to install. If I need a vent or if I need another fan, I will definitely buy it from AC Infinity and I have recommended these products to a friend who is looking at a similar set up to mine.

the fan works as advertised but i do wish it ran a little quieter. i added this to a tv stand that sits over one of our HVAC registers and figured this would help release the trapped air behind and underneath it. i definitely noticed a difference once i turned it on and could feel the cold or hot air coming out of the fan. but on full speed it is definitely noticeable if the volume on the tv is low.

I am assembling a stereo system and required a cooling fan for a custom cabinet I built. My concern was cutting the hole into the cabinet without ruining the finish or showing any distress signs. I ordered the AC Infinity Controller 1, thermal trigger and AC Airplate S2 which fit best in the cabinet design. From opening the box to final installation, these products are first class. The boxing reminded me of when I bought my first Apple product - well packaged, insulated and a custom look that from first appearance made me feel happy about the purchase. Once opened, the instructions were detailed, clear and complete. Then I saw the clear plastic template provided for the cut-out. This isn't one of those dotted line, cut this out of the instructions template, but a separate plastic template for the cut out hole and face template for the Airplate S2 which made it EXTREMELY EASY to both mark the required cut out hole and place the face template exactly where I wanted it in the cabinet. First class engineering, thinking with the eyes of the customer. After installation, the Airplate S2 fan and thermal switch worked perfectly as described. The engineering of this product also allows for 3 additional fans to be added to the system and daisy chained to the original wiring via USB connection integrated into the fan design. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND these products, and if they are any indication of how AC Infinity designs all of their products, they would be recommended too.

Everything about this fan is awesome! Quiet, efficient, well built, ease of install, ease of use. My PS4Pro sounded like it was going to blow up after I installed it in my cab. With the help of AC infinity, this fan, 2 smaller AC Infinity fans(this was overkill and just something fun I wanted to mess with), a passive grill, and the AC Infinity push button thermostat I created the perfect environment for the PS. Can’t hear any of it even when on high unless it’s dead silent and I’m sitting right next to my cab. Seriously love their products and recommend anyone that needs an innovative way to cool their products to consider this quality line. Had I thought it throug a little better I may have set this up differently but I built the cab in a way that this worked out as I have no way to vent out the sides.

I bought this fan to rig up as a small kitchen exhaust fan in my tiny house. I needed something that would allow me to exhaust through an awning window and this fan attached to a board works really well. It sucks up a ton of humid air and pushes it outside quietly and efficiently. It was pretty expensive for what I was hoping to pay but the quality of the product is very pleasing. This product both functions very well and looks very nice. If it happens I need another one, I wouldn't hesitate to buy from this company again.

Der Lüfter kommt samt Zubehör in einer wirklich wertigen Kartonverpackung, die zusätzlich mit schwarzem Schaumstoff ausgekleidet ist. Es sind alle erforderlichen Zubehörteile wie Schrauben (Schneid- und Gewindeschrauben), Bohrschablone, Netzteil und Bedienungsanleitung dabei. Der Lüfter ist in drei Stufen über ein im Kabel eingelassenen Schalter steuerbar, selbst auf der kleinsten Stufe liefert er einen ausreichenden Luftstrom um einen in einem geschlossenen Schrank stehenden Receiver hervorragend zu kühlen, bei richtiger Installation ist der Lüfter zumindest auf der kleinsten Stufe für mich fast nicht wahrnehmbar. Sehr gut gelöst ist auch das Anschlusskabel mit einer zusätzlichen Buchse, so das man mehrere Lüfter in Reihe schalten kann. Etwas aufpassen muss man bei dem beiliegenden USB Netzteil, es liefert 6 Volt und liegt damit über der üblichen USB Spannung, das ist hilfreich um den Lüfter richtig auf Touren zu bringen, sein Smartphone sollte man damit allerdings nicht laden. Es gibt von AC-Infinity Lüftersteuerungen, die die Umdrehungszahl je nach Temperatur steuern können, vll werde ich bald noch einmal testen, ob diese sich auch in der Anschaffung lohnen. Alles in allem bin ich mit diesem Produkt sehr zufrieden. 2 Stück verbaut in einem HIFI-Schrank zur Kühlung eines Receivers und einer PS4

Ho inserito tutti gli apparati in un mobile sotto il televisore, decoder, box della tv, amplificatore dolby digital, hub e adattatori vari, esteticamente è molto bello, non si vede nulla, solo il tv, ma... l'interno del mobile dopo qualche giorno diventa bollente, ho fatto lo scasso nel mobile e inserita questa ventola, anche al minimo riesce a fare un bel ricambio d'aria e a mantenere l'interno del mobile a una temperatura ragionevole.

Achei que era mais potemte, mas é muito silencioso
