Are these compatible with other magnet toys such as Picasso tiles, Jasonwell?

We have a different brand set that are similar and they work great! My kids were on it for a straight 5 hours today building different structures.

Are these suitable for a 3 year old ?

I think the mangetic component makes it easier to learn how to build. So I think a 3 year old could grow into this as they grow up. If a parent helps, they could create a working structure. Before this we just had tiles, but this is better than the tiles because it can do so much more. The light up ball will definitely be fun for a 3 year old!

Are these magnetic tiles set made well, I bought for class, wondering if they will last long term?

I believe so! The set is sturdy and is holding up well with two rough-playing boys.
