## Description

desertcart.com: eXtremeRate Clicky Hair Trigger Kit for PS5 Controller BDM-010 & BDM-020 Shoulder Buttons, Custom Flashshot Trigger Stop Flex Cable for PS5 Controller BDM-010 BDM-020 : Video Games

Review: Gold standard for FPS games - I've done this mod to a number of switch controllers, first time trying it on a ps5. Simply put, if you plan to only use the controller in question on games that require a full trigger pull to activate input such as most FPS games then these can't be beat. They literally reduce your time to pull the trigger and speed up your ads/firing reaction time, as well as give a satisfying click you can hear/feel letting you know exactly when that input has been made. You do literally disable the "adaptive" triggers and kinda ruin anything like a racing game where you might want to "feather" the Gas/Brake so I wouldn't recommend doing this to your only controller unless you exclusively play FPS games. The kit works with the rise 2.0 and the LED kit as well, just gotta watch and use all 3 tutorials and figure out the best order to do everything in since there isn't an all in one video. One important note: i had to get some sand paper and little by little sand the l2/r2 inserts to get a perfect fit, at first they were too big and kept the button stuck down, if anybody else has that issue. But overall the controller i built for my friend turned out great and I would completely recommend extremerate's stuff, as this is now the 8th controller I've built from their kits!
Review: Great prod6 - If you play Playstation games this is a must have well made easy installation.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is it true after adding this you can no longer click any 2 of the 4 buttons together? A review states that R1 + L1 won’t register when pressed.**
A: I had this issue with both mods. I could press R2 and R1 at the same time, and both would register, but if I was holding onto R2 first and tried to press R1, the R1 button wouldn't depress. It would still detect me pressing R1, but the button wouldn't move at all. The solution I found was to take out the plastic pegs from R1 (and L1) that come included with the mod kit. Thy don't seem to be particularly necessary, and everything worked much better when I took them out.

**Q: Can I still get soft press and hard press functions with this controller, or is the trigger entirely digital (on/off, no analog)?**
A: Hello, installed with this Clicky kit, only the hard press function is available, and the trigger is entirely digital feeling like pressing tact switch, thank you.

**Q: Can I cut off the trigger clicky buttons if I only want the face buttons for ps4 controller?**
A: Yes, you can cut off the trigger clicky buttons and keep the face buttons.

**Q: I got a second one on march 21st because the last one “r1” stopped working, now “l1” doesn’t work on the new one. how does the warranty work?**
A: Sorry to hear that. Please go to our product listing and click the store name, then click the Ask a question button to contact us.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great prod6
*by S***N on June 3, 2026*

If you play Playstation games this is a must have well made easy installation.

### ⭐ It failed in a year with light use
*by C***S on February 7, 2025*

Everything was good. Until the buttons failed. I'm on a year of use with 5 months worth of moderate use. I finally had time off to actually play after a year of being burnt out at my job. The buttons just stopped giving response. Took it apart and found the board actually button failed. This was in the middle of a gta mission. I have another controller so it wasn't the end of the game. Having to install it with the back buttons was a hassle. I don't think I'd buy this again. Supported them alot and gave out alot of hype to friends. I'm disappointed in the quality. I didn't expect to un install this because it failed. Update. Looks like I'm stuck buying them again because I lost something for the oem part
