Works great. Just for fun I reversed the polarity (very briefly) and the bulb didn't light up. I don't know which way round the batteries go in the maglite, but if the positive feeds the centre/base contact, it should work. (I am running 2 C cells, btw. If you have more cells (hence voltage) I wouldn't know how it responds) **Q: Does this work in incandescent Maglite D 2 cell, or 3 or more cells only?** A: It should as 'D' cell batteries are rated at 1.5v as are 'AA' 'AAA' and 'C' cell in reality they are slightly less, so a bulb which is rated from 1v right up to 9v should work in a 6 cell torch, so a 2 cell should pose no problem at all. The led bulb will only work if I keep the switch depressed.
