Took to bits first by gently undoing then secured button on toilet top just hand tightened no tool needed for me, then turned arm back in gently and adjusted a bit to face way I needed then moved whole toilet top nearer and pushed clip through top hole of arm and sat toilet top down in permanent position and it was surprised it works first time and also really well.
