This affordable, classic wind up music box is set in a beautiful wooden box with a filigree top that allows a peek at the workings inside. It's a small, pocket sized box that's perfect for just about anywhere you'd like to keep it: on a piano, a windowsill, a curio shelf or desktop, it's visible without being obstructive. Wind the key for a tune that brings back memories.

The quality of the box is quite nice. It's very well made and sturdy, especially for the price. Quite elegant. As for the music, I feel like the song is close, but a small bit of the arrangement is a hair jarring. When I try to analyze it, I think maybe the last note on the second line ("me") could be held a little longer, because as eighth-note as it is, the start of the third line ("I once") almost sounds like a flourish, an echo of the "like me" part, and not a distinct start of the third line itself, which in turn makes it sound like the third line is missing a tidbit. I hope I'm explaining that in a way that makes sense for musicians and non-musicians alike. Attached is a video so you can hear it for yourself. It's also a small bit little tinny/rattly, but that can be common in devices like this, so I'm not really bothered there. Overall, it's nice, but I may look elsewhere if I need one that plays Amazing Grace again. I do see great reviews on the "You Are My Sunshine" one, and it's a a song my friend always sings to her baby, so I think I might consider one for his birthday coming up. In short, the qulity in general is nice enough to want to buy again in different tune, but Amazing Grace may need a slight edit to be perfect. It's close enough to not actually be dissastisfied, though.

I bought this music box for my grandmother as a Christmas gift, and it was her favorite! It was super cute, perfect size to sit on her dresser with all of her other fun trinkets. The sound is clear and beautiful! Great price, fast shipping, great buy!
