I used this in a house drain project for diverting greywater. It bonded to abs drain pipes great. Careful not to bond the inside sliding parts, and follow instructions. Remove the guts before bonding. Then reinstall them after cure to make sure.

I would of gave it more stars but 5 isthe limit and i did have one compliant. Though how i was running it, i would of had to change it even if it was assembled in what i would consider the proper position. It was shipped where the close position didn't close anything and was on the rounded side with no outlet, should of been on inlet spot. Though u don't need to actually put inlet line in that spot, as I ran mine so one line would run strait to on line and 90* to the other. But was positioning was extremely easy to change, 8 or 10 bolts. Needed to split my line going to pool jets and waterfall into pool so only one operates at once. My old set up was bulky, and with me converting to salt and adding a new piece of equipment space was limited in my enclosed slab. So my original set up was, from pool filter it want into a t, then 90* off each with both lines coming off having ball valves, which I had to shut one off and turn the other one on. So this set made it great cause I only had 1 t ball valve to do the same as 2, which are bulky. Making it hard to do my salt converter in my pad it sits on. This made it where it went strait into my salt chlorinator, without having to use a 90* or a bulky ball valve, which literally saved me about 6 inches, which allowed it to fit on slab. Couldn't be more happier. Package came on time, though it just got installed today, unit to seems very good quality. My one true complaint, I have always hated plastic on plastic gears. Whoch this has to turn handle. They should of went with a better design on that, cause when it's plastic on plastic teeth, they do eventually wear.Thankfully I will only have to use the handle once every week of 2 to clean my pool, otherwise I circulate my water through my water fall. But I give it a great rating for Rapid delivery Quality Space saving vs not using one Convenience of having 1 valve handle vs 2 Price It is highly recommended

UPDATE: I changed the 3 star rating to 5. Seems the previously reported drip was temporary. Will update as needed. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I'd managed quite well without a waste valve on our pool pump for 15 years, ever through two storms. But this spring it'd gotten the better of me when I couldn't clear the water and decided to use drop out for the first time. Having read it's best to vacuum resulting sediment to waste, I bought and installed this valve. Installation was rather straightforward, one only needing to pay attention to direction of water flow. As per the instruction sheet, you have to snip off a small tab on the underside of the lever so that you can rotate the lever 180 degrees upward (as shown in the first photo). If you don't the third port remains open (lever in the down position) sucking air into your system. Rotate the lever to the right (second picture) to block the filters and flush the waste. (I attach a removable 2ft piece of pvc on the down port to better direct the wastewater). Only complaint so far is that in the lever up position, a small amount of water drips from the port below (one drop per 12.5 seconds). Otherwise, it serves the purpose. Will update as needed.
