Wow, it does kill them on contact. I love how it is safe to use in the home and with pets. Smells very nice too. Good product especially if you find the nest of origin for the ants, that is important to be really rid of ants in the home. Such pests.

Since Spring began, my house has been plagued by ants. I've tried numerous products, including bait and liquid traps, to 'kill the colony' and solve the problem for good, but they just keep coming back. I keep everything clean, scrub the floors to remove the trail, but they just keep forming a line from my door to my trash can like magic. I decided I'd give this Mighty Mint spray a try, and I'm honestly shocked at how effective it is. The bottle and spray nozzle are good quality, and the instructions on the side are bold, clear, and easy to follow. After a vigorous shake, I was ready to use it in under 60 seconds of opening the package. As a contact killer, it works fantastic. The ants immediately fell as soon as the spray made contact. I sprayed along the line they'd formed, all around the trash can, and put a heavy amount on the entrance point at the door. The smell is quite strong, but it's a pleasant peppermint scent. My cat was already cordoned off in a room on the other side of the house, but be sure to keep your pets away until it dries. The scent does linger for quite some time, though again, it's pleasant to most humans. The ants are completely gone. I don't know if they'll show back up eventually, but this spray certainly beats putting out traps and waiting a few days for them to have the intended effect. Mighty Mint gets rid of the problem NOW and it's going to be my go-to product if I ever have to deal with this again!

For the most part this does what it says it does, it kills ants. It also smells great and it was not as strong as I thought it would be. However, I'm not entirely convinced it works well as a repellent so I'm deducting one star. At first it seemed like it was working, but perhaps that was just dumb luck. While there does seem to be fewer ants than before, I've observed them running around fine around treated areas. That said it could just be the types of ants in my area just happen to not mind the repellent as much. Also taking off one star cause it's quite expensive for what it is.

We use this to discourage those tiny black ants that seem to appear out of nowhere and just wander aimlessly in the sink. It seems effective.

I bought this because it was pet friendly and I hate bringing in those heavy ant sprays that could make my pets or me sick due to smells or toxicity. On a whim I saw this and bought it. Tried it day one, as the ant problem I had been having was active when I got these delivered. The smell, yeah great peppermint smell but is super strong even from one smell. Stung the eyes a little bit. But I just wanted the ants gone, so I went to town on the ones I could see. Not only did it not kill on contact but it didn't even slow the ones I sprayed down. At first they retreated away to wherever they normally come from (Can't find the nest yet), and I assume they were just going to die and pass on the ant killer to their home. Job done should be over. The next morning... well lets say I woke up to a bunch of surprise guests. More than I had normally seen had shown up and they were actively crawling and picking at the areas I sprayed. I sprayed a cup holder i have attached to the desk and it dried, was visible it had dried in spots. And these spots were now being attended to by the ants, like they were attracted to whatever is in the spray. So needless to say, I sent them back to get a refund. It just made my issue worse, somehow, and I don't know how something designed to kill these things only brings more to the party. I watched videos of it working and people attesting to its uses but somehow I didn't get the same result. I caution anyone to buy this one.

I saw a previous review that stated they used the spray one time and sent it back. Stating that their ant situation had just gotten worse. Weird!! Right!! So I read all the reviews and decided to try this out. Let me start off by saying bugs, ants, roaches anything. An exterminator told me once, NOTHING goes away instantly. I swear yes I sprayed almost half the bottle. But the instructions say to find the main source of the entry. And spray. Well they were everywhere. Believe it or not I used the entire bottle in about a week and a half. They are practically gone and I am ordering again. Please who ever thinks this product doesn't work, Give it time, get to the root of the problem and you will be ant free with an amazing peppermint smell that even my dog kinda likes. Thank you for bringing this product into the works. AMAZING!!!
