Best one of many I've tried. Nylabone exiles look no further!
So nylabone discontinued the ONLY disc that was both soft for dog's teeth and flew well. Not the one with the bone shape on the top, the one that actually looked like a frisbee. I think they called it gumabone. That thing was so durable and flew so well that it has shamed everything else I've tried to replace it with after losing my last one. I especially don't understand the popularity of the Kong rubbery disc. You have to throw it really hard to get it to fly at all and even then it sinks really fast. The best dog discs are the ones that glide well whether they are flung hard or not. The nylabone/gumabone WAS best I'd found. For those of you of the same opinion, here is the review I was looking for but couldn't find. This disc not only is an acceptable Nylabone Frisbee replacement, it's better! It's a bit on the harder side compared to most rubbery soft discs, but not nearly as hard as normal plastic discs. It does have a satisfying density to it. So if you are training a puppy to catch and to not be afraid of getting hit in the snout with a hard disc then you might want to start with a softer, crappier flying thing to ensure the dog will aggressively snag all things you toss in the air thereafter. That being said, for dogs who know frisbees and know how to track and snag them, this thing is plenty soft. It also has rough texture in a ring where you grab it from top and bottom to help with grip after it inevitably gets covered in slobber. Nice touch. As for the most important thing. It flies like sparkling unicorn angels are pulling it along through the air with just a light toss. I'd consider myself a slightly above average thrower. If I want to I can generally throw most discs long and straight with maybe half my throws. I've found this one to be the most forgiving dog disc I've thrown and my rate of 'perfect throws' is way higher even compared to the nylabone frisbee. I can both make it go farther and straighter then any other soft ones I've tried. I haven't tested it but I'd bet the distance and glide performance is very close to the ideal of a regulation size ultimate frisbee. I was concerned that it was a bit smaller than the nylabone frisbee which I think was a couple inches bigger. Even though it's smaller, it doesn't seem to be affected too much by wind. Most discs are either small and light for short and slow flight or big and heavy for long, fast, straight. This one does really well with both short little front-yard tosses and long open-field blasts. Yesterday I tossed it with just medium force down a slight slope. If my dog wouldn't have finally caught up to it and snagged it after a fun 40 yards or so then I'm not so sure it wouldn't STILL be gliding smooth and straight down that hill! We've found a new winner. Lost this one in my tall grass yesterday. I'm sure I'll find it over the weekend. But I'll order 3 more right now to make sure we have a no-compromise disc experience every day.

Great flying dog disc
Flies really well but nice and semi-soft for a dogs mouth. The material is very tough and doesn’t show bite marks at all. Very satisfied using it as an active dog toy. Recommended!!

My dog's favorite thing EVER!
It's sturdy yet flexible and gentle on dog teeth. I throw this disc for my border collie every night. She's a shredder, and she likes to fight with her disc after retrieving it, i.e. mouthing it and shaking it. It's been three months, and the disk flies as smoothly and as far as on the first day, nothing chips off, no sharp edges etc. We like it so much that I actually looked through my orders and found this one to write a review, and I almost never do that. It's a really good disc, you can bend it in half and it will hold its shape, it's never gonna shatter due to the material, but it's super sturdy too.

Very good disk, but you need to know it's not an independent chew toy.
I've gone through a bunch of different discs for my dogs. Some held up better than others. I used this one yesterday with my dog for the first time. I don't think he left a mark on it. It flies well and it seemed like he could see it better than the blue, green, red and light blue discs he's had before. It's nice to get a product that really has been tested and works... uh let me change that. I put this to use with my dog on Jan 29th. It's now March 21st and the last time I played with it was Sunday. Flies great, but Winchester has chewed it as we play. I say "leave it" and he must hear "eat it." Then I retrieve it. I've included the pictures as of today for the purple and the glow in the dark one. He hasn't had that one nearly as much. I think I'm still searching for a durable disc. I may come back to this, but I'll look for others. I've been using the glow in the dark Jawz disk since somewhere around the end of June when we lost the purple one. These throw really well, the glow in the dark aspect doesn't work as well as I'd like. idk how to "charge it" so it's visible long enough in the dark. I'll be at the park for about an hour and if it's really dark out, these fade before 30 minutes is up. I've found a lighted field to play in the dark. Relative to other flying disks, it's durable, unless my pointer can scissor the edge, and he does. I've sanded it down because the rough edge can make you bleed. If you want something you can throw far and it lasts, this is a good option. I'd only buy the glow in the dark one again if it was the least expensive color. Remember, this is NOT an independent play toy!

We <3 Hyperflite Jawz Frisbees!!!
Hyperflite Jawz Frisbees are AWESOME! We are not Frisbee professionals, just enthusiasts. Regardless, these have always, without a doubt, been my dogs #1 Go-To toy (ie; "security blanket"). PROS: These Frisbees are unbelievably durable. Fly straight and true. Have a good weight but are light. Soft and easy on the mouth. All are flexible. (The Hyperflex version is the softest Hyperflite Jawz Frisbee & is the most flexible -- easiest to bend, like a taco -- which is how my dog usually prefers to pick up and carry it. The Hyperflex has always been his favorite version of the Hyperflite Jawz Frisbees.) CONS: Hyperflite Jawz Frisbees colors are nice (the Hyperflex version only comes in purple), however these colors are not the brightest -- the sparkly/flashy labeling comes off quickly, and the color dulls a little with sun & dirt -- so these Frisbees can often difficult to find in they yard. If you want to get a Frisbee for your dog, you need one of these! I began purchasing these Frisbees for my dog nearly 10 years ago & have only ever needed to replace them when they have become lost/stolen, or when someone decided it would be really fun to throw a Frisbee in the ocean (twice). Ya... They don't float. (Not that anyone with any common sense would ever expect them to).

Best in class frisbee for dogs
We have a 65-pound golden retriever, and we also are frequent dog-sitters. So a lot of dog teeth sink into our family frisbees at the park. Our golden has already destroyed two other frisbees in relatively short order, but this Jawz Hyperflex is showing zero signs of wear after 3 weeks of hard use. I am cautiously optimistic about the longevity of this frisbee. The two other frisbees we have tried are: Chuckit! Large Paraflight & Discraft 175 gram Ultra Star Sport Disc, Fluorescent Yellow . Neither one of them held up for much more than a couple of months. The Chuckit! frisbee begin showing signs of deterioration within our first week of use. Our golden begin ripping apart the seams of the fabric, in spite of our stopping her from doing it whenever we noticed her doing it. And the other, traditional frisbee disc gave way quite quickly to her chewing. Fast-forward to today, and the Jawz Hyperflex is proving itself to be worth the added investment. I would rather spend $14 on a frisbee that will last for a longer period of time. It also flies well in the air. My wife is not known for her disc-throwing abilities, and even she can send the frisbee a good 20-30 yards without much effort.

Great Winter Dog Disc
Awesome frisbee, especially for use in cold winter weather. It’s really on the soft side, which makes it easier for my dog to pick up because it can fold over. It’s lasted through 4 months of winter and only has one small puncture hole, so it’s very durable. Unfortunately, it’s a little too light to cut through strong winds and it doesn’t keep its shape well so it’s throwing accuracy suffers, but you can still make pretty decent throws with it. If you're between this or the Hyperflite Frostbite, I recommend the Hyperflex. My dog put several puncture holes through the Frostbite in just a couple of sessions, while the Hyperflex has lasted for months without significant damage.

Great fetch frisbee
Update: This frisbee starts to get hard and crack over time. Led to dog cutting mouth on plastic and had to throw it out. I'd recommend you go with a rubber disc from kong. Much safer for frequent fetchers We like to chomp on frisbees when retrieving them, this one withstands all the bite marks and keeps on going!! Welll worth the money compared to the throw away frisbees for $7 that get destroyed and need replaced every 6 months. Love this so much we may buy another!

Lasted a week
I bought this for its supposed durability. We used it for disc play (not chew toy) for about an hour every morning. The dog (ACD) has already punched holes through it after about 1 week of use. It does fly pretty well, but I can't recommend a product that claims to be durable, that costs this much, that only lasts a week for its intended use.

Best frisbee you can buy! But check my FYI.
Hands down the best frisbee money can buy for your dog. My lab has destroyed every frisbee we’ve ever tried - but we’ve been using these ones now since they last so long! They fly well and are puncture proof. Some things to know FYI: They don’t float!! In colder weather -10°C or more they can crack (estimate based on my climate). I wish we had a more steady supply in Canada!
