It is very easy to reach and the quick release on this mount gives piece of mind that you will be able to retrieve the extinguisher quickly in an emergency (no fumbling to release a latch). Great value, great build quality, great product.

The pull knob locks up securely and there is minimal movement between the parts of the mount. It is important to make you tighten the band clamps securely around the extinguisher and the roll bar you mount it to (I used a 7mm socket on a ratchet to get it as snug as possible). Well worth the money.

**Q: Would this attach to a molle panel?**
A: NO.  A MOLLE PANEL IS TOO WEAK

**Q: What is the distance between the two mounting holes? I want to attach this to the roll bar of a 2023 Ford Bronco, which has pre-drilled holes.**
A: I used the clamps provided. to mount on roll cage of my 2021 can am maverick x3.

**Q: What size holes are on the base?**
A: Without removing the unit it’s just a guess but I’d say the actual hole is just over a 1/4 inch in diameter and the widest part is very close to 1/2 inch so a tapered screw head will fit nicely.  But the clamps provided work really well have rubber and the base has grooves to help you line them up.

**Q: Will this actually hold a 10lb fire extinguisher?**
A: I have two of these mounts. They hold my 5 pound extinguisher with absolutely zero issues. I would’ve think you could get away with a 10 pounder…

This mount is very sturdy and easy to install. I mounted a 2lb extinguisher in the back of my Wrangler on the roll bar. This mount is surprisingly well-made and keeps your fire extinguisher easily accessible. The pull knob locks up securely and there is minimal movement between the parts of the mount.
