Why the heck would you need matching female side. Unless yours is trashed, in which case buy a new one from Toyota somewhere online. This is just the piece to correct the fault of the stock male part. That is all they are selling

Directions state to position 'as far possible against the outermost'. Does this mean slide the stopper inwards towards front of car or towards back?

You want to adjust it so that it is as rearward as possible while still being able to shut the door normally. The wedge shape holding against the door latch keeps the door from moving and squeaking over bumps.

Gx460 rear squeaks solution
