TEMPTU S/B Silicone-Based Airbrush Foundation

I’m a makeup artist and have been using this product for the past couple of years on clients. I have a Temptu airbrush machine and I have had no issues. If I let it dry without cleaning it, it does get clogged, but I use the Temptu S/B Airbrush cleaner and spray it through with a couple of cycles of water and it clears the clog in a minute. If I didn’t have the airbrush cleaner, I could see how it would be frustrating, but it works fantastic and it’s inexpensive. You can customize the coverage from sheer to almost full and it has a beautiful finish. It’s easy to work with and sets fairly quickly so when I add other products on top, it doesn’t move around. I have done bridesmaids makeup at 6 AM and have seen their makeup stay in place past midnight. It’s great. I typically have fair to light to medium Caucasian clients and the two colors I go through are always 004 Sand and 006 Toffee. Most of my wedding parties I don’t need to use any other shades. If they are lighter than 004, I’ll mix in a drop of 001. I have all shades, but those are my two staples. Would recommend! I love that I can order this on Amazon too and receive it so fast incase I run out and need a quick replenish.

I love Temptu s/b liquid makeup, I can use it on my traditional airbrush or hand apply if I'm on a hurry. Majority of the time I do hand application, using a synthetic brush. No beauty blender as it's sheer already and bb will just soak up the product. This sheer-medium coverage foundation looks very natural, has subtle sheen but doesn't look oily. Buildable without being blotchy. Has a fair amount of setting time, enough for you to spread and blend. It is long lasting on my dry skin, endures 12-16 hours without retouch or reapplication in los angeles weather. Oilier skin types will need to retouch as the facial oils will breakdown the product. This product doesn't irritate my acne prone sensitive skin, so it's a big plus. It is photogenic in flash photos, no white cast so it's safe to use at night where flash photography is involved. The only negative on this is the shade available, I'm mixed nc 42:45; and the shade 006 toffee oxidizes into a darker shade one hour after application. To rectify this, I have to mix with a slight drop of 004 sand. The middle shade 005 is a neutral and it doesn't match my undertone. I wish Tempu would come out with more shades, specifically between 004 and 006. Overall I love this product. Definitely highly recommended

The product is too thick. I only used it once and then I returned it. It immediately clogged up my airbrush and then it took me several rinses to get it out. Even when I was shaking it, I could tell it was thick because the little ball inside couldn't easily move.

It covers well and is good with other products but goodness is like water thin

It clogged my machine(not the same brand as the makeup) but I have a co-worker that also used it in her machine and also clogged it. So I am not sure if this bottle I got was too thick or this whole brand is like that and you maybe only works with their machine. As far as color and coverage of is good quality if I use it with a sponge.

What I love about this formula: the silicone adds longevity and moisture. It doesn’t show up at all, almost like you’re wearing a film whereas other airbrush formulas like aeroblend and luminess leave a drier finish, sticking to flakes and wrinkles. I purchased 004, 005, and 006. That is pretty much going to work for the standard Caucasian pallor. 004 is actually too fair for me but I add drops of it to the 006 to even it out. Really stoked with temptu foundations. Just understand this sb formula is harder to clean out of your airbrush. I use a makeup brush cleaner in the airbrush to make sure and get all the silicone out or else your gun will definitely start to clog.

For my wedding, my makeup artist used this foundation applied with a brush. I loved it so much that I got the brand and color name from her, threw away my old foundation, and never looked back. I figured that airbrush makeup would be too heavy to wear every day, but I have found the opposite to be true. Since I started using this I don't break out as often as I did with my old foundations (I have tried a lot of foundations, loreal bb cream, cover girl, lancome teint idole...) and when I do break out, this does a great job covering it up. It looks natural and it has a nice glow to it - even in pictures. It stays better than most other foundations I have used, but it will eventually rub off over time. I think if you use the primer it stays much longer. I use my fingers to apply it. You can use a brush, but this stuff is hard to wash out of makeup brushes. One thing to be careful of, you don't want to have any water on your face or hands when applying it. If a little water gets mixed in with the foundation when its wet, the foundation gets powdery and the color is off... Overall, I love it.

I ordered this makeup to use for my daughters August wedding because it is silicone based- making it waterproof. It is supposed to be applied with an airbrush gun/applicator. I own an airbrush makeup applicator and I also use a professional airbrush gun in my art so I'm both comfortable and experienced with airbrush equipment, in general. The make up is very thick. It is too thick to be used in the airbrush equipment I use for makeup, and it is also too thick to be used in my professional airbrush equipment I use for my art. I tried 3 different needle sizes and the makeup clogged all 3 needles even with a higher psi. On the last and largest needle, the makeup sputtered out, leaving blobs, not a fine mist as it should. I don't think it was intended to be this thick if it was sourced directly from the makeup company. Instead, I think this is old product purchased by a re-saler that has thickened with age. I would not purchase this product from any other retailer than temptu and only if you have the temptu equipment or are using equipment that shares the exact same size needle and psi that temptu uses. I was very disappointed that I had a poor result when I tried applying it manually- the consistency is only part of the issue that made this makeup unuseable.
