Bosch OSL034C 3/4 in. Starlock Oscillating Multi Tool Carbide Plunge Cut Bl

In just a few years oscillating tools have become must-have for pro remodelers and other trades. It's no wonder - with the right blade you can cut just about anything, and in tight spots that are impossible with other power tools. But "Right Blade" is easier said than done. Oscillating blades are ridiculously expensive for what they are, and worse yet, most "wood cutting" blades most will be ruined by hitting a single nail or screw. The "bi-metal" blades with a slight hacksaw type tooth are a *little* better - instead of one nail doing them in maybe you'll make through 2 or 3. Point being they're still pretty wimpy. Now enter the Bosch carbide tipped blades. These are BY FAR the longest-lasting oscillating blades I've found. At around $10 each they're still expensive for what they are - but ordering them via Amazon is MUCH less expensive than the same thing at my local big-box. There- 3 blade bi-metal packs are roughly the same price as these. SO... How do they cut ? In "just wood" to be honest there are much faster blades out there. They get the job done, but I wouldn't use these carbide-tipped blades if all I had to cut was clean new wood. The teeth aren't aggressive enough (not much, if any, 'set', so they're +/- mm like cutting wood with a hacksaw blade. BUT - for common chores like cutting the end-nails and sheathing staples in a stud wall ( for instance to replace a twisted stud - cutting the 16# nails first and then back-cutting all the sheathing staples so you can pop out the bad stud without shaking the heck out of the wall - or having to cut an incorrectly sized header out - THESE ARE DA FREAKING BOMB. Instead of being ruined by the first or second cut like EVERY other blade I've ever used... I worked all day today with ONE blade and the teeth are still intact and sharp. I wish I'd found these a year ago - I would have saved myself a few hundred bucks in wasted bi-metal blades. I didn't try cutting sheet metal or heavier stuff like a metal cover plate, but I'm sure they'd work in those materials too.

These blade aren’t cheap Quality blades - good value compared to other sources

I have had mixed results with Bosch-branded blades and bits over the years and approached these with trepidation, but they have proven themselves. They are superior to the Fein long-life BIM metal blades in durability in my experience. Cutting performance is excellent in soft and medium steel, and they are fairly stiff and quite resistant to bending on you. Hardened steel is a slow go, but if you are talking about cutting relatively thin material such as fasteners these will get it done. I have used these to cut new engagement points in stripped screws with these, plunge-cutting into the head, and had good results. Like all metal-cutting blades, they do cut wood, but the performance in softer, fibrous materials is mediocre. I removed 1500 linear feet of siding for a restoration project, cutting each nail, with a single one of these blades. I am really impressed with that durability, I think it exceeds what I have ever gotten out of a Fein blade, which are much more costly. I would buy these again for sure.

Only reason these dont get 5 stars is the high price compared to most others. But the Bosch easy change system is great and these blades seem to last longer than most

Simply amazing! I had doubts that these blades would work as well as Bosch claims. I do not have doubts any more! I was cutting through 3/4" sub floor with thinset mortar and the remains of ceramic tiles on it. All the other blades I used ( bi-metal) got torn up almost immediately like cut six inches and the teeth were worn / broken off. I used one of these carbide Bosch blades and finished the rest of the job and the blade teeth look just as good as when I started. I saw afterwards I had sawed through nails and screws and even some ceramic tile, but it cut so well I never even noticed. There were two nails that got cut longways (as in the nails were split top to bottom so 3/4" of half a nail was left) which was hilarious. In this tough application, these blades are lasting way more than 30X the life a standard bi-metal blade. Cutting speed is about the same as the bi-metal blades (when they are new / sharp) but the cutting speed does not slow down because the teeth never get dull. A little bit expensive, but well worth the money.

I'm not generally one to take the time to do reviews ....but these blades deserve it. I do construction, so I use my oscillating tools nearly every day. I needed to cut off lots of 16d nails ....I had carbide name brand blades from a box store ....the blades were useless after 5 or 6 nails. I found these Bosch blades on Amazon ....got them delivered in 2 days ....I stopped counting after 114 nails with the first blade ....and there were still teeth left on the blade ready to tackle more. That same day, I ordered the Bosch "Wood" and "All Purpose" blades ....had excellent results with both. As long as I can get them, I'll never use any other brand of blade. I recommend them to anyone I know who uses an oscillating tool. You can't beat the price either ....a 10pk for $80 ....that's $8 a blade ....you'll pay far more for far less quality blades anywhere else. You won't be disappointed.

I made some mistakes doing my first tiling job in the kitchen but this Bosch carbide tipped oscillating tool blade was just what I needed to correct this mistake. I didn't align the end tiles where I marked on the wall where my door casing will be on the bottom three rows so one row stuck out almost 3/16". I was trying to figure out how to trim those tiles. I bought a grout saw with a carbide blade and a rod saw thinking those might work. I tried using a grout saw with a carbide tip blade but that didn't work well so I tried this Bosch blade and that worked. After taping off the area I wanted to cut, I started by scoring a straight line on the tiles making a groove and worked my way down to the bottom row, then back up cutting through the dry mastic. By scoring a line it allowed the blade to easily follow the groove.

I have tried 2 of these blades to cut through rusted nails and they only cut 6 each for a price of £19 each. They are very expensive for what they do. Unfortunately because they are star lock fittings you cannot buy cheaper ones from different suppliers as that would be the best route

Useless :/ supposed to be very durable but lasted about 2 deck screws before being totally blunt. Was expecting more from bosch and for the premium price. (And yes i’m aware of the speed setting and way your supposed to cut screws.)

Awesome multi tool blades. Come on sale fairly often and cheaper then most other carbide blades

As lâminas da Bosch são tão boas quanto às da Makita. Ambas cortam metal e outros materiais com precisão e excelente acabamento. Não faço distinção entre essas duas marcas. Vale a que estiver com o preço mais em conta. Ainda há boas opções também da DeWalt e Dremel (esta última também é da Bosch atualmente). Só não me arrisco a comprar lâminas de multicortadora de marcas genéricas, pois cegam rapidamente e não cortam com precisão.
