I feel nothing when using. i pressed on, then set/start, then set/start again. the number i chose flashes. any ideas on what i am doing wrong?

Press start after you enter each feature. After the third mode is entered, press set/start and an intensity level should come up, usually a number three. Then you will need to scroll up/down, to start feeling anything, usually need to go up to about a 10 out of 20 to start feeling anything. Make sure the cord is firmly in the unit. It is a very tight fit. If not seeded right, unit will not work.

I suffer from neck muscle tightness. as a result, i have come and go headaches. can i use this for my neck?

The first page of instructions clearly state to NEVER apply the pads to the neck or throat area because it could cause severe muscle spasms resulting in closure of the airway, difficulty breathing, or adverse effects on heart rhythm or blood pressure. You could apply them to your shoulders or upper back and still probably impact your area of concerns because the tightness and pain often starts lower.

Does the pocket version have a clip?

No it does not but you can put it in your pocket. The leads are not very good to be honest they have a tendency to come off easily
