Our new favorite game! So well balanced and pretty
We are playing a kobold themed DnD game right now and this game jumped out at us because of the art on the box. After looking at reviews and live play online we decided to grab it and played it for the first time while the kids were home for Thanksgiving. It was easy to pick up and we had a lot of fun with the auction portion. One of the players built a dungeon crawler system and got so much gold! Each time we played it had a very unique feel and all the portions work well together. So far no home brew changes but when playing 2-player the auction part isn't quite as exciting so we might do something there. It really is well balanced and the art is so great! I have literally drafted a wizard just because she was so cute! You really don't know who is winning until the very end. Also found some downloads on Board Game Geek for turn options and a suggested playmat. An actual playmat might be nice to keep organized since there are so many moving parts. May try to 3d print something.

Great quality with great fun
Excited to purchase this game. The box is heavy, the token tiles are thick and do not feel cheap. The cards have a great feel to them with amazing art. The board game itself is thick and heavy which it’s perfect to play on. It takes some time to learn the mechanics, the game is not short. I am learning on the go.

Excellent Strategy Game!
Pros: - Good strategy game. - Art is stunning and dreamy. - The game mechanics are well-thought out and there are methods to earn points: ingredient tokens, spell cards, gold tokens, mana tokens, dungeon/treasure cards, research actions, and branches of magics for each wizard, their towers, and familiars. Cons: - Small pieces; not recommended for young children due to choking hazard. - Not a quick game. The duration is ~90 minutes at minimum (but I think it's worth the play time). Considerations: - I recommend watching tutorial videos on YouTube. It's a lot to take in at first but the demo scaffolds the game really well.

Once you get it…
Pretty complex rules, but once you get it, it’s super fun. Pretty long game we’ve played for 3-4 hours and just end up declaring a time limit.

Adorable! Buy some card sleeves
This is a brilliant game. Also check out Raccoon Tycoon by the same company. It’s adorable, clever, and well thought-out. In case you want to buy sleeves for the cards, there are 109 poker-sized cards and 156 larger 80mm x 120mm cards. Gamegenic MtG and Dixit sleeves work.

Beautiful game with a lot of moving pieces
Wow, this game is definitely beautiful. The artwork and style is great and the attention to detail with the pieces is surprisingly high. Overall the components for this game while not kickstarter level, are still high for a mass-market board game. Where the game suffers a bit is in the complexity. There are a lot of little moving pieces to each turn and while I've had harder teaches, this does happen to be one of the toughest teaches I've dealt with in a while. It took a while for our group to figure out the goals and different choices, which resulted in a huge point spread for the first game. Its a ton of fun, but might not be the best for people who struggle when there are just too many choices in a point salad type game. Still its on my list of games that will be regularly brought to various game nights.

Raccoon tycoon 2.0
This plays very much like it's predecessor raccoon tycoon. Lizard wizard is a bit more complex (barely) and takes a bit longer to play. I prefer the longer play time. I always felt like raccoon tycoon ended too quickly. Both are excellent games. I prefer the art in lizard wizard better. Raccoon tycoon takes up a lot less space on the table.

Racoon Tycoon Leveled Up
As a huge Racoon Tycoon fan, I didn't think Lizard Wizard could be any better. I was wrong! Lizard Wizard improves upon features in Racoon Tycoon and adds more to enhance the gaming experience. The Familiars only offer more options per turn. It's a brilliant strategy game that my friends have grown to love. It's a must have for any board game enthusiasts.

We really enjoyed playing this game but it takes a little while to set up and ages to play. Not suitable for people who like quick games or lack concentration!
