The pieces snap in using the zig-zagged connectors, I suggest you take a hammer, cover the pieces with cloths and lightly hammer it in. Don't use your hands. You connect two pieces sideways, then connect them vertically, then fits the evo perfectly.The light shines perfectly fine on the corals, and my blenny has not jumped out yet. It does what it's supposed to do!The crate is a bit thick for my taste, but I understand it is there to give it additional strength.
