Retro toy where Mom knows what's she's doing!
I bought this for my tween boys. First, they cannot share because even though there are three rockets, there is only one launcher. But eventually they took turns. It's a simple toy and we're seen many demonstrations of the concept at museums or hands-on science fairs. The kids knew what to expect, but getting there was harder than they anticipated. After a few minutes, they were ready to give up -- the rocket barely left the launcher, flying only 1-2 feet. Suggestions from dad when unheeded; and grandma chimed in that she had bought it for her boys and it never performed.Well, my brother had this toy and I knew what it could do (even though I was hardly allowed to touch it)! Aligning everything perfectly and squeezing the end valve while pressurizing, I got it to launch 8 feet on the first go. [that's when the kids reclaimed their toy because if mom can do it ... ]It's retro and totally analog -- and there's a trick to it -- and you can impress your kids, if you know the trick.Enjoy!

Fun!
These are ultra cheap versions of my 1970’s love! Remember the white pump and rocket with the red dome? These aren’t those sadly. But they do kinda work, and are fun for a minute.

Fun
My grandkids had fun now with a toy I remembered from my own childhood.

Just like the one I had 60 years ago
I went through a few of these when I was in grade school. They were hard to use and broke easily. They haven't changed. They are still hard to use and will probably break in a short time. They didn't cost much and came with three rockets. I showed my 7 year old grandson how to be careful getting the rocket on to the launcher with out breaking the launcher. I showed him how to carefully pull the trigger with out breaking the launcher. I am positive he will eventually break the launcher just like I always did. But before he does he will have a lot of fun. We launched a couple rockets and they worked great. He was very happy. He will be sad when he breaks it, but I will buy him another.
