Does not work well

I have a Grundig Yatch Boy 206 which works great on rechargeable batteries. I got this power supply to save myself the chore of recharging batteries every week. However, with this power supply tuning is completely off. The stations which were crystal clear on batteries, are un-listenable (with a ton of static) on Upbrights power supply. I suspect the quality of power provided is poor. Returning!
