It has no odor like chemical sunscreens do. Also, the fact that it's made in the USA sweetens the deal a bit for me.A lot of reviewers on here seem to not realize that a major characteristic of chemical-free sunscreens is that they are thick, white, and tough to fully rub in. You know the dated white sunscreen on nose stereotype for lifeguards? That's from old-time zinc-based sunscreen. Modern zinc-based sunscreens use smaller zinc oxide particles but you still get a bit of the effect. The flaw is not with this particular product, but the nature of the substances used in it and all similar natural sunscreen products. If you want chemical-free sunscreen then you have to put in a little effort to rub it all in. It doesn't take a whole lot of sunscreen to protect you, and if you rub it in all the way, then you won't have a problem with it being white on your skin (just watch out for creases like inside of elbows, behind knees, and facial crevices--those need a little more attention to get rubbed in).Beyond a quality product, I received some quality customer service. The pump I received was defective so I contacted the seller last night and I got an email today saying that a new pump will be mailed to me tomorrow. It took forever to put on every time I needed it and then came right off in the water anyway. Since it's greasy and never rubs in it gets all over everything: the car, the couch, the fridge, the dresser, phone, kindle, etc. Every time I wore it someone would comment on how weird it made me look. My sister said it made me look purple. It kind of turns you the color of an oxygen-deprived newborn baby if that's the look you're going for. There are so many other natural sunscreen options out there. With that being said, it is the ONLY sunblock that works for me. I have very very fair skin which is of course also sensitive. This sunblock is worth its money. I like that I can apply without reapplying. I sunburn in the car. I can sunburn in about 10 minutes where I live outside! So, I love this product. I do put it all over, then wait a few minutes, and then apply my daily moisturizer which is Aveeno, which helps smooth it in too. I think it is good to use it at home before you go out.
