I purchased the E.L.F. Putty Bronzer, Creamy & Highly Pigmented Formula in Honey Drip. I was looking for a product that would add a nice bronze tone to my face without looking cakey and thick. I’ve purchased E.L.F. products in the past and was always pleased so this bronzer appealed to me, and the price was good. The description states “Putty to Powder Finish”. To me “powder finish” implies a somewhat cakey look and I didn’t experience that. The color is deep and applies smoothly with a creamy feel and my skin felt soft and smooth and silky. I liked that it could be applied with a finger or a brush. My preferred method is to use a flat brush and build the color for a deeper bronze appearance. I also experienced more control when using it for contouring. The bronzer has a slight glow, but I only noticed it in a brighter environment. For me there is added moisture which is needed in an arid climate. I also noticed that the color lasted throughout the day. However, I haven’t worn the product on occasions when I was out in the rain or snow for any length of time and with that said, I can’t attest to the product being long lasting in these conditions. So just something to think about. Overall, I’m very pleased with the bronzer. It applies easily, is creamy and I’m able to build it to the color that works for me, and the price is good. It’s versatile in that it can be a bronzer or used for contouring. I highly recommend this product.

I purchased Luminous Putty Bronzer in 'Vacay Mood' and Putty Bronzer in 'Feelin' Shady' they are the same color except the 'Luminous Putty Bronzer has a slight sheen. The review for each is the same. This is a smooth sheer cool grayish beige cream. This works well as a contour as its the same color as the shadow cast on the skin, which is what contouring tries to recreate. I also use this as a color toner for my face. Just as a purple shampoo is used to neutralize the brassy orange tones in blonde hair, I use this to cool down blush, eyeshadow and lipstick that looks too orange on my skin and I only use my fingers. Used alone as a bronzer this is too gray and will make you look like a black and white photograph of yourself. You still need blush and lip color with this. Overall this is a useful product that gets me using colors I already bought but sit unused (which is a waste of money). Buy one shade or the other, you don't need both.

I like this bronzer. I used it specifically for a costume makeup look rather than everyday wear, and it definitely did the job. It’s very creamy, blends easily, and lasted a long time. I’m not a makeup expert, but I can easily imagine this working well for everyday makeup too.

Creamy and pigmented but gives a very natural look

I ordered 2 shades of these, I'm fair skinned and never really get on with cream bronzers because they look orange and muddy. Firstly feeling shady - it's grey cool toned and needs built up in layers unless your ghostly white, but it does build up well and is a great contour. Bronzed belle- I loved this, its not orangey at all, blends really well. I feel the 2 shades work well together. Great for mature skin and beginners as it's very hard to mess-up because they're so blendable. Work great on the eyes too.
