Excellent for a heat lamp
Works great for the heat lamp in my exterior well house in the back yard. It saves me from having to keep up with the temp drops in the weather and having to turn the heat lamp on and off. Great quality and price.

Good Product
The outlet worked very well this winter.

Works but temp range is too big and not accurate.
Been using these for years for chicken/dog/cat heated bowls. They do work to conserve energy. but the thermostat is not that accurate. I have mine on a smart plug that measures wattage. They turn on around 37-38 and turn off close to 53 degrees. That means they run most of the winter unless you have very cold nights and warmer days. Ideally you would want this to come on around 33 and off at 40. Overall they're easy to deploy, cheap, and do technically work to keep things from freezing.

Does the job if the temp is right
This is not waterproof, so I keep it protected out of the rain when used outside to turn on my heater used for the chickens water dispenser and a birdbath. If you use this on an outlet that is attached to a heated structure, it will not operate as advertised, the building residual heat will trick it into thinking it is warmer out than it is, you have to get it away from a heated building, unless your place is modern with tons of insulation and not like my 70 year old frame home.

Doesn't seem to do anything.
Tried to set up a battery heater for my older EV. I attached a couple heating pads to the bottom of the battery case, plugged them into the 35/45 outlet, ran an extension cord to this switch/outlet, put the under covers back on the car. Now I have a nifty battery heater *that does nothing at all*. I couldn't test the thing because it wasn't cold when I did the work. Now it's 20F in my garage, I plug in the extension cord, and nothing happens. The cord is fine, the heaters had worked (I could test them). Pretty sure this switch is just junk. Do yourself a favor and don't try to use one of these in a location you can't access. When yours turns out to be a dud, you'll regret it.

love it
when i bought this i was a tad shy because of all the bad reviews and i was also entangled in a bitterness towards seller when i ordered it took several days for them to ship said in stock but it wasnt, after i received the product i realize takes a little gray matter to use it properly, i originally placed it an old style lamp holder you know like grandma used to have thats got a screw in socket with two outlets on the side, but the bulbs heat kept the unit from ever coming on at all, puzzled i finally figured that one out, i put the unit well away from any sources of heat inside my well house and used the 2 outlets one going to a small ceramic heater blowing on my well pump, the other to an extension cord ran outside with a mere childs night light attached, i also purchased a cheap digital thermometer the kind that transmits 100 feet and put receiver inside my home, the week i bought this we had record low temps here well into the low teens, i would check my remote thermometer inside and could see it maintained temp inside well house between 33 and 4o just as advertised , i could also peer out my window and see exactly when unit was operating via the night light placed outside on the extension cord, took me awhile to gain trust in the unit because of all the negative reviews but it works fantastically , i trust the unit has more than paid for itself in less than a month in saved power by maintaining just enough to prevent freezing without having to constantly run a bulb or heater, plus the peace of mind that my well doesnt freeze, i still check my remote thermometer and yep always between 33 and 40 and on really cold nights i can see the little night light come on assuring me its doing its job, i think the people giving the unit bad reviews either got a lemon or maybe not bright enough to use it properly as i did myself originally lol, but i give it A+ works great for me, if mine breaks ill be buying another great product ;-) Adam

Super Handy, Great for Pet Heaters / Bowls
Great plug & play solution for keeping my outdoor 'working cat' warm and her water from freezing on these cold nights, yet not wasting energy in warmer weather. Temperature on and off seams reasonably accurate and device is rated at 1500W, overall a good deal at this cost.

Reliable
I connected this to the block heater on board my diesel pickup so that I can plug in my truck and have the on board charger top up my battery and kick in the block heater only if needed. This has continued to work flawlessly for years and the temperature set points are about right for my application. Other temperature switches I had bought in the past, simply didnโt last.

Handy unit to avoid power waste
I got this to control a small heater I have in my tractor shed. I don't need heat all the time, just when the temperature drops below freezing as the heater is only intended to make it easier to start the tractor. This adapter is doing the trick and seems to work well at allowing power flow within the stated temperature ranges. In the past I had to remember to go out to the shed to turn the heater on if it looked like the weather was approaching freezing. Now the system looks after itself and I save power by not running the heater when it is not needed.

Brilliant idea
We use this for a small space heater in our pumphouse for when it drops to -28 or colder outside. Which it never used to do, but now the winters have extreme colder. Our pumphouse was built at a time when it went to -25. Now with the destabilized arctic air masses in the winter we occasionally get overnight temperatures to -30. We plugged in a small ceramic heater to this magic plug and donโt have to worry about freeze ups. A small step to adapting to climate change.

Product works great.
Turns off and on as described. Works off of extension cord as well as an outlet. Ensure all plugs are connected snuggly or it may not operate correctly. Ground is a bit loose and can pop off of the cube, if placed into a tight outlet or extension cord, when disconnecting. Orherwise, the item works well.

A Remarkably Cost-Effective Way to Prevent Freeze-up
You simply can't beat this item for simplicity and cost-effectiveness. We bought it to keep an insulated shed from freezing so we could store a bumper crop of winter squash inside. Just plug in any non-digital heater (digitally-controlled heaters will often reset and won't automatically start up again) and the device takes care of the rest. We did find that the temperature range to be slightly warmer (6-10 deg Celcius) than advertised (2-7 deg) but this could have been a result of the device being located on a cooler outside wall. If we had wanted it cooler, we could have plugged the device into a short 12 ga extension to move it away from the wall, but the warmer temperature was all right for our purposes. Again, overall, you can't beat the simplicity and price of this solution.
