Review: Good food - Great recipes, they are delicious and healthy for you. I liked it so much, I have purchased as a gift to others that want to eat better. Review: If I had to pick ONE cookbook. This would be it. - I love cooking and cooking books. This one is my favorite cookbook ever. The recipes are easy, wholesome, nutritious and delicious. I also liked the recipes in the Omnidiet book but there isnโt any pictures in that one. I never write reviews but I tell everybody about how much I love this book. Everything Iโve made has exceeded my expectations. My favorites are: Tanana pancakes (banana flavor, light and slightly sweet, low carb, high protein) Brainberry muffins (So delicious itโs hard to believe there isnโt flour or sugar in them) Peppy Meatball soup (never liked kale before this soup) Cream of Asparagus soup (just creamy and delicious without the cream) Comforting Fish Stew (I saw the picture and I was intimidated but itโs the easiest, tastiest recipe ever! Better than restaurant quality) Rosemary Thyme Chicken (A simple foolproof way to cook chicken, it comes out great every time) Chicken Asada (My favorite marinade ever, we make it once a week) Turkey Stuffed Peppers (the Marinara sauce in this recipe is amazing) Chicken Wings (best homemade baked wing recipe and did I already say easy?) Hummus (I cook the chickpeas in my instant pot and add extra garlic and lemon. Itโs way better than store bought) Sesame Almond Bars (low sugar yummy snack/dessert). I still have a lot more to try! I canโt wait to make the rack of lamb.

Some good insight....
The Brain Warriors Way Cookbook.. I read through most of it the day it arrived. I found a few recipes I'm excited to try-- stuck in my rut, just haven't yet. Although it's good advice, it isn't new, I've seen it many times: clean out your pantry! I can't simply go through cupboards and throw away all the "bad" foods. I have others who live with me but don't eat the way I do and won't, so I've given up. I prefer a lot of veggies- him almost none. Some of the recipes sound delicious, others are too spicy for me or call for "sweenteners" - artificial or otherwise. I use only honey or maple sugar for a sweetener. I try to eat only natural, Non-GMO, organic, fresh, no hormones or antibiotics and if possible,, free range-- that doesn't mean an open door once in a while, but completely raised outside with freedom to roam. I also use very few spices. I found when I quit using salt years ago, that foods have their own flavor and it doesn't always need to be camouflaged or buried. Maybe I just have simple tastes in food--?? I'm trying to use a few more that are suppose to be very good for us though. The recipes aren't full of weird things you've never heard of-- mostly pretty common ingredients and simple processess. I do agree with others -- there are too many pictures showing off the Amens in place of picures of every recipe. I've read a couple of Dr. Amen's books and have seen him on PBS, which is why I decided to give this cookbook a try. After yrs of eating egg whites only and having red meat only a few times a year, I learned I was my own worst enemy. There are some nutrients that are only found in egg yolks and red meat that are necessary for our brain health. After I started eating yolks and red meat every week or so, I discovered a funny thing had happened. My memory was improving! I don't have those "senior moments" where I've lost the word I wanted to say like I used to, among other things. At first I'd gone to yolks daily but then decided that was probably too many for my elevated LDL cholesterol. My MD agreed at my last physical but I'd already rolled it back by then so she was ok with what I was doing. It's a good cook book with nutritious, mostly quick, easy recipes. Also, there's is a lot of other information included in their narrative that adds to the value. Recommend!

Eating healthy has never tasted to decadently delicious before!
This is a great source of delicious recipes - that happen to be healthy for your heart and brain! As a new health coach with Dr. Amenโs Brain Revolution team, I decided to add the Amen cookbook to my limited food repertoire and so glad I did. Weโve used the book daily since the beginning of May from delicious morning smoothies (Cherry Mint Blast is a new favorite), to hearty entrees (Chicken Asada w/Fajita-style veggies, Savory Chicken Masala, a very satisfying and easy Fishermanโs Stew) to delicious side dishes (the Cauliflower Mashed โPotatoesโ and a truly delicious Cauliflower Rice are so satisfying that we donโt miss the others) and then onto truly satisfying sugar-free desserts (vegan brownies and lemon bars), we have been well served. For Memorial Day, I made the very delicious Bison Sliders with Blueberry Barbecue Sauce and Chloeโs Favorite Wings - both were raging hits. The BBQ sauce has quickly become our โfamily recipesโ to accommodate my diabetic husband. Flavor combinations are wonderful. Not to mention Iโm finally enjoying the full use of my spice cabinet. Well done!! My recommendation for the next edition: >Use Larger font sizes for the ingredients, > add Prep, Cook and Total Time estimates > Add a glossary (for example, coconut butter, coconut oil, coconut cream) > And it would be nice to add a few Soul Food selections among these delicious, diverse options. > Include โserving sizeโ along with number of servings offered by the recipe.

Easy and Delious Recipes Plus Sharp Photography of Nearly all Recipes
Beautiful photographs for nearly all recipes. I also appreciate the good information this couple brings to enlighten us on getting healthy. The recipes are for common ingredients you shop for (after you purge your pantry of unhealthy foods) and are easy to make. The first one I made was the Apple Crisp. It's made a little different than usual, but it was so delicious. It got a lot of compliments as an after-Sunday- dinner dessert. I also like the information about drinking warm lemon water and ginger every morning. Great benefits! I read some reviews criticizing the fact that the wife's picture is on several pages; that why couldn't they put photos of food instead? I see wisdom in placing her photos in the book as a way to show what this diet can do for us; beautiful figure, skin, and hair- not to mention a beautiful brain. Who wouldn't want to look like her? Plus the photos and captions show off her pleasant 'personality'. I find the photos encouraging giving 'hope'.. I discovered this book by accident while it was recommended by the Bone Broth Diet lady, Dr. KellyAnn,.

It has lots of good, healthy recipes. However, many of the ingredients are not available at my local supermarkets. I am not sure how often I can actually use it.

Great Recipes!
Some of the ingredients are not ones that I already had, so some of them took time to find. It's a great way to make your pantry healthier. Because of this cookbook, I'm slowly getting rid of the foods that do not benefit my health and am replacing them with the foods in this book. Very flavourful and healthy. I use this cookbook all the time!
