Wil this calibrate video too?

The ColorChecker Passport Photo 2 was developed with the ColorChecker Camera Calibration software to create digital camera profiles for still photography, not video.  We do sell ColorChecker Passport Video and ColorChecker Video targets that can be used for Video color correction using the tools within the video editing software (i.e., DaVinci Resolve, 3D LUT Creator, Final Cut Pro, Premier Pro).  X-Rite (and now Calibrite) has never developed any calibration software for video. Some video editing software has added support for the 24-patch ColorChecker Classic target that is in the ColorChecker Passport Photo 2 (I was told by a customer that DaVinci Resolve did).

The new ColorChecker Passport Duo is a new product that actually combines the targets for still photograph and video. why is this so much more expensive than the datacolor spyder checker?

The MAP price on the Datacolor SpydwrCheckr100 is $99 and the Calibrite is $119 so there really isn’t much price difference from an authorized dealer.  Any dealer lower than MAP price is probably  third party, Grey market or non US product. The Calibrite uses true MacBeth calibrated color swatches, the industry standard and their camera calibration software is worth the extra $20.
