Nick Gentry is an A-list actor, hiding on his Montana ranch after a terrible accident. When she unknowingly takes a job as the cook on his ranch, sparks fly. Their instant animosity and attraction puts both of them in uncharted territory. Will they give in to the growing heat between them? Can Lissa help Nick heal his emotional scars and learn to deal with the physical ones?I could tell from the beginning that this was the last book in a series--all her brothers and sisters were married or engaged already. But it didn't seem to matter much for this story. Pretty stand-alone.I really liked this book. Lissa was a fun character (though how ANYONE can eat a box of See's candy and two pints of ice cream in one sitting and still be fit is beyond me.) Although she came from a wealthy family, she didn't want to rely on her family name to get a job. She had principles and a great work ethic and she was personable and totally relatable.Nick was seriously hot (scars on leg only) He did seem to move fast emotionally (for a guy) where Lissa was concerned but I put that down to right place, right time: he was ready and she was perfect for him. I liked their banter, even the insults they traded back and forth.There was a moment toward the end that caused a misunderstanding between the two of them that I found false:********MINOR SPOILER:Why did his PR person change his phone number. Also, wouldn't you watch the whole news report? I wouldn't have been able to look away--like a train wreck. Maybe I'm more of a masochist than she is. She might have figured out what was going on if she'd watched the whole thing.And how did they not trade cell numbers before she left? WTH?? Seems odd.********END SPOILERThe only problem I had with the book was the lack of one, last chapter or an epilogue. I wanted to see them together, in public, after everything was decided and resolved. I felt like that scene was really missing.There was a last chapter but it was for all the siblings and only served to set up the next series. Kind of lame.If I run out of new books, I might go back and read the earlier books in the series. I like this writer's voice very much.I don't know if I'll read the next series though. The intro to it seemed forced. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Romance Junkie *by A***E on Reviewed in the United States on March 7, 2014* Lissa: Sugar and Spice by Sandra MartonThis is the story of Nick the famous, handsome, sexy actor who’s gone missing from the world of film. Nick had a terribly sad secret and has been hiding from the world since the accident left him with a mangled leg. Lissa has had her reputation tarnished by a man she thought loved her, but instead used her. How these two misfits got together is awesome and I totally enjoyed the ride. I think this story of the last Wilde family members is my very favorite. I give this book five stars because I couldn’t wait to reach the end and find out what happened and at the same time I didn’t want it to end. So romantic I wanted to cry! Best part is that the Wilde family saga continues because the general has another set of kids! Italian kids and I can’t wait to read those stories. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Always enjoyable reading *by S***N on Reviewed in the United States on August 6, 2014* I had no idea that there was another book out and so it was a nice surprise to find this last story about the eldest Wilde sister. There are already a lot of reviews so I'll say that as usual I enjoyed this author's brand of romance. I appreciate the fact that she makes the effort to change up her characters. I liked the initial sparks and bantering between the H and h. I really laughed in places and then I really enjoyed the sweetness of the relationship.
