It definitely is not an issue for the overhead bins. Under the seat is a little tight on some of the carriers like KLM. Delta and American have been okay. I just make sure not to over pack the front pocket. **Q: Can the alta rise 38 hold a tripod like the Peak Design messenger bag?** A: Definitely no! It hasn’t any external strap for tripod. **Q: Will the alta rise 48 backpack hold a 15.6" notebook computer? what are the internal dimensions?** A: Yes it will pretty snug. Width wise you're fine but where it will be close is length. This backpack can be configured so many different ways that a 15" computer fits, you just may have to configure it to your liking. I fit 2 five inch freestyle drones, fatshark goggles, a transmitter, batteries, tools and a 13 MacBook pro all fits with ease **Q: Can the alta rise 38 hold a tripod like the Peak Design messenger bag?** A: You can strap it on the outside, strap one leg in on the side pocket. ## Frequently Bought Together - VANGUARD Alta Rise 48 Backpack for DSLR, Compact Camera, Mirrorless Camera, Travel, Black - SanDisk 128GB Extreme PRO SDXC UHS-I Memory Card - C10, U3, V30, 4K UHD, SD Card - SDSDXXD-128G-GN4IN - Nikon EN-EL15c Rechargeable Li-ion Battery for Compatible DSLR and Mirrorless Cameras (Genuine Accessory) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.it/products/37270595-alta-rise-48](https://www.desertcart.it/products/37270595-alta-rise-48) --- *Product available on Desertcart Italy* *Store origin: IT* *Last updated: 2026-11-03*
