Good Product.
I have been buying everything that I've seen to try and relieve my bunion/hammer toe pain....although I'm sure it's not a cure, but, today was the least amount of pain I've been. In for almost a year....good product!

Much better than the standard silicone ones
The standard solution for hammer-toe is a silicone ring that fits on the toe itself. It's hard to get one that fits snugly but is not too tight. This product has only a thin elastic strip that keeps it positioned properly. I found it comfortable and so far just as effective. You can't wear it in the shower, but otherwise it's distinctly better.

Hard, uncomfortable and cuts off circulation to toe!
As many people who have tried different products, I was hopeful this would both work & be comfortable. As shown in the manufacturers pic, there is a skinny piece of well secured elastic that you pull to get the hammer toe down in proper place. 1. This SKINNY piece of elastic quickly cuts off circulation and leaves a deep indentation where it digs into the skin. 2. What they call "foam" is a very dense material that is hard and totally uncomfortable under the toes. I have a size 6 1/2 shoe and bought a small. 3. The hard dense foam shape of the product is made for the MIDDLE toe, according to the directions on the package. When used on the 2nd toe, it is even more uncomfortable. 4. The amazon site states it is machine washable. The package directions say to NOT immerse in water, and only "spot clean". All that being said, I took a scalpel and cut out some of the hard foam, but the skinny elastic holding my toes down (just a moderate hammer toe - not severe) still turned the tip of my toe purple. Truly a useless product.

Works well, easy to use
Works well, easy to use, just make sure you don't pull strap too tight or it may leave toes swollen and sore. Washes well and not too thick. Works best with socks.

Take the hammer out of the toe.
Developing more foot pain after injury, these pads helped with the pain in the toes as I relearn to walk. Will never fully recover so buying more pads. Firm, well fit, well designed and so comfortable I forgot they were on.

Successful proof of concept, but not the best quality
Because it is so hard to write a review about these. I supposed the most important issue someone would want to know is that they do in fact work. I have hammer toe and when I wear these, it’s such a difference. A very good question would be why don’t I wear them all the time, and I just forget. However, I removed two stars for two reasons. The first problem is the rubber band that they use to keep the support attached to your toes is very thin so it’s very uncomfortable on your toes. If the rubber band was even twice as wide, it would be better, but I think they should make it considerably wider. The second problem is also related to the rubber bands, they fall off… But I suppose technically the supports fall off the rubber bands. Nevertheless, the two become detached one from the other. So after oh, maybe half a dozen uses, they are not usable anymore. This issue issue could be solved by the manufacturer, simply putting the word “Disposable“ somewhere on the packaging. All in all, these worked beautifully for a proof of concept undertaking. When my podiatrist suggested something like this, it seemed unlikely that they would help, but these did help, and they made a noticeable difference in the comfort of my walk.

Relieved irritation
I have a hammer toe that developed a diabetic ulcer on the end. It wouldn't heal because the hammer toe kept irritating it and breaking it open as I walked. My podiatrist recommended this product. This did the trick and the ulcer closed up in less than 2 weeks. I ordered one size smaller because my toes are short. Fits perfectly. The strap made my middle toe turn red until I stopped pulling it so tight. It stays in position inside my sock and shoe no problem. I've been alternating between two of them for over three weeks and they are both holding up fine. The felt surface is just starting to show some wear from walking on them.

Best way to Handle Hammer Toes
I've known I had bunions all my life so I'd always made sure I avoided wearing shoes that were pointed or with too high of a heel that put pressure on the bunion. I also never took the time or spent the money to have bunion surgery. Now that I'm older, the hammertoes are a very real and extraordinarily painful thing, and I can't have surgery because I also have "veinous insufficiency" . One podiatrist told me he wouldn't see me (and has since been fired from the clinic I go to). The much nicer podiatrist saved me by showing me this and one other item on Amazon to solve to handle this problem. The other product helps to keep it the big toe and the next toe separated, but the beauty of this one is that it does actually hold the 2nd toe (the one that is the hammer toe DOWN, and rubbing the that knuckle on against the top of the shoe is what is crippling. I am so grateful this and for my dear podiatrist that showed it to me. It also helps that they're very cost-effective and so easy to use. They do the trick!
