We weren't camping, but we did stay with family a lot and sleeping arrangements were often a mattress on the floor so I purchased this as a back up. This blanket was a lifesaver! It was super warm and perfect on the plane as well. Highly recommend. Packs down into barely anything and I just clipped it on the outside of my backpack when flying so it was easy to access.
