Calculus: Concepts and Contexts (Available 2010 Titles Enhanced Web Assign)

I used this text for Calculus I-III, which covered the entire book. On the whole, I found this to be a solid textbook: well-organized, with clear language, sufficient background material (chapter 1 is a good precalculus review), and interesting application problems. I felt that the material was well-presented, and that the homework problems for any given chapter escalated in difficulty at a reasonable pace. Don't miss out on the Homework Hints feature!

This book did not include anything besides the book itself. Very basic and very plain, it clearly shows evidence of how much it's been worn. But it does include both single variable and multivariable editions that I'll need for all the calculus classes I need to take. Which means it saved me a lot of cash. I am satisfied.

It have been a little more worn than "acceptable" and the spine was detaching but it got the job done.

I used this book when I took Multivariate in college and it has helped me so much and the book made it easy to understand everything. I am now grading multivariate and the professor is not using this book, but I truly wish he was, as this book is far superior to the textbook he is using.

This version of "MINT" does not come close to any "MINT" item that I had seen before. The first pages of the book were ripped and folded like an accordian. The USPS packaging had been ripped and torn several times and then taped closed. The insulation of the USPS packing (which looked like home insulation) was all in the book and made a disaster of the dining room table when we tried to carefully open to see if the book was in one piece. Very disappointed in spending good money for a piece of *&^%$#@! My biggest regret is my son has to have the book on January 4th, 2011 and I do not have time to buy a replacement and return this "MINT".

It's only half the book. :/

This was my first product bought through amazon. I am happy to say it made a good first impression. It was on time, and with not so much as an indentation on the cover. Good text- bought it for class and it is fairly self explanatory in it's concepts - and it is associated with free internet resources.

The full version of this book is good for Calculus 1, 2, and 3. The Single Variable (SV) version will get you through Calculus 1 and 2 only. I personally find these text books useless if you need help understanding something. More like the book is a supplement.
